Bryce Harper posted a response to the FanDuel controversy that's been brewing all week, and I'm not sure what to think. On one hand, FanDuel looks SO culpable: they requested a *personal* (rather than *business*) video from Harper on Cameo using the name Bryttanni, then after the fact applied the FanDuel logo to it. That's shady af, and I can't blame Harper for saying he didn't expect the video to be used for any kind of commercial purpose. On the other hand, "Bryttanni" included a script for him to read in the video, which he did, and it specifically mentioned that the video was being requested for him by someone "from FanDuel": "Hey Terry, Your host Bryttanni (Britt-knee) from FanDuel wanted to make sure your Thanksgiving was extra special, so I just wanted to hop on and wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving. Tell Max (son) I said hello!" Mostly, I think FanDuel is diabolical. They know that their best customer is an addict that can't stop placing bets, because they know that in the end, the house always wins. You just have to find a way to keep "Terry" coming back for more, even if it means spending $899 on Cameo to get his favorite player to say Happy Thanksgiving.
