Hugely honoured to have been nominated in the Regional Journalist category for the @SportSJA British Sport Journalism Awards. It has been a tough year, healthwise, but I’ve worked through it as best as I can. Writing and telling stories is a massive part of my DNA, and I’m lucky that I was able to continue doing so throughout my treatment for breast cancer. Not everyone is so fortunate.
Massive thanks to the team at the @MailOnlineScot @MailSport @stevendonn for keeping the faith. Regardless of the outcome on the night, just to be nominated ( among such great talent), means the absolute world 🩷

My granda 85 is going into care home tomorrow just to stay alive. Its £2000 per WEEK until his house and savings have been swallowed up. Meanwhile in Dover, the illegal immigrants continue to arrive and are fastracked to a free 4 star hotel at our expense. He still pays tax.
