@vxunderground You know what the worst part is? 90% of the time those CoD servers (and clients) are needed because they couldn't be assed to patch the RCEs in them. They still sell those games for 40 or 60$ a pop on Steam.

On Tuesday, June 30th, Jennifer Gibbons, Vice President of State Government Affairs for ESA (Entertainment Software Association) testified before the United States California Senate regarding Minecraft and Call of Duty private servers, which she claims are actually piracy.
Gibbons told the California Senate these private servers are unsanctioned. She is representing the video game industry in the United States and vehemently opposes the recently introduced Protect Our Games Act, the United States version of Stop Killing Games.
She referred to Minecraft private servers as "The Black Market".

@GreeneElizabeth @Ekaeoq @Ekaeoq check this, some temp sensors and see if your performance mode (both in Windows and in the UEFI Firmware) is not on battery saver mode.
If it's running hot, throw some fresh paste on it and maybe swap out the ssd if you haven't (old drives will slow down, even ssd's).

"... now that it's hot" is actually a really good clue. If you launch Task manager and go to the Performance page, it should look something like this. Look at your "Speed" number (red arrow). The maximum(ish) is the "Base Speed" (green arrow), and it should be at that if the system is busy. If it's stuck at some crazy low number like 300Mhz, you might have a cooling issue that's causing it to thermally limit.
(There are other ways to see this, including the most excellent "HWInfo" tool, but this is a quick check.)

How is Windows this fucking shit, like honestly, how in the fuck does a trillion dollar company ship something this goddamn ass?
I use one, a singular software app, that doesn't even make my macbook FLINCH, but completely destroys my 16GB, i5 8th gen win computer......
We're talking about an app that uses 0.6% cpu on my mac, an app that is not even optimised for silicon, but the same goddamn app uses at least 80% of my cpu on the windows laptop.... godforbid I touch anything, instantly shoots up to 99% and just freezes.
HOW IS IT SOOO ASS, HOW IS A TRILLION DOLLAR COMPANY SHIPPING SUCH ASSSS THAT KEEPS GETTING WORSE, YEAR AFTER YEAR.... it's almost incredible honestly

Je ne pensais pas que cette information sur le #chocolat susciterait tant de réactions et de questions surprenantes ! Il y a bien plus important en ce moment, mais quelques compléments quand même :
🍫 En logistique, le chocolat est un vrai cauchemar thermique. Plus qu'une gourmandise, c'est une marchandise "thermosensible" ultra-capricieuse. Sa structure moléculaire dépend entièrement d'un équilibre thermique fragile.
🔥 Le coup de chaud (>25°C) : il fond, perd son précieux "craquant" au cassage et subit le Fat Bloom (le beurre de cacao remonte et forme un voile blanc).
❄️ Le coup de froid : si la température descend trop bas, le choc thermique crée de la condensation. C'est le Sugar Bloom (le sucre se dissout et recristallise en surface, rendant la texture granuleuse). Il devient aussi très cassant. Donc impossible de le transporter dans des camions réfrigérés, ce serait trop simple.
🎯 La zone de confort : entre 12°C et 18°C stables, pas un degré de plus ou de moins.
Un grand respect aux pros du transport qui gèrent cela. 🚚

the most important thing that people are missing about steam machines v2 is that proper steamos will be available to everyone. steam machines v1 happened because microsoft tried to monopolize and lock windows 8 with their store. so valve's initial idea was to create a free os for gamers. it failed at the time case proton wasn't good enough. any machine can be a steam machine and that's exactly what's happening now

@never_released I don't live in the delusion that I'll ever get more than 350k (which I feasibly don't need), but I like the berniecrat idea of taxing wealth and taxing income a LITTLE bit over a certain amount more. Way easier to sell, also gets the right people.

@phillygrk @Drogdor1 They already won a lawsuit for this, it's in the videos. The last video even showed that they attempted to sue AGAIN, but they had to serve papers in person. They kept getting arrested by the police.
