One of the most underrated hidden gem sandwich shops in NYC has to be Montagu’s Gusto. It’s a random Sammy shop on the east side but the owner drives about 2 hours every day to work, the sandwiches are massive and all very fairly priced. They chicken cutlet chipotle mayo on focaccia is my go to. Coming out with my NYC sandwich rankings soon, which is hard bc there’s a lot of good ones.

I really wanted to gate keep this one…but I won’t. Sushi is one of my favorite foods especially as a New Yorker, but I hate expensive overpriced fancy sushi I’m a casual guy. My favorite spot in NYC in terms of freshness and price is absolutely sushi Hatsune in Chinatown. I’m usually the only person eating in the actual restaurant there. #sushi #nyc #nycfood

The Card Counter is Oscar Isaac’s best performance. Isaac is back making the rounds for season two of Beef, but I always think of this role when I think of him. This was one of the first films I saw in a theater after COVID. Isaac is just unbelievable when given the right script.
