@JBthehawkeye @GlobalWresOrder I don’t think he can make the weight for wrestling. He is big now, would be 70/74 now
English

@mrfasttwitch @FerrariBrothers That is not even remotely close to a curl. The definition of pointless ego training. How is your finance?

@MrPatMineo Anyone saying the kid deserved to be KOd should never be allowed to attend a youth sporting event. Of course the kid was wrong for shoving his head in the matt, but a punch like that is unacceptable period.

@ThisIsNotDSP This is a silly statement. Holly was a top boxer while Ronda was a top judo, both transitioned to MMA, holly was 9-0 when she fought Ronda who was 12-0, both had their first fight in March, 2011- so basically the exact same experience.

@mikeddonatelli But wouldn’t it be much better to remove the depletion part of the equation? I cut tons of weight, and do appreciate the mental strength it builds, but feel without cutting, I could have focused more on improving technique. Cutting is the worst part of the sport
English

As an adult I’ve competed in powerlifting, strongman, Ironman triathlons, marathons, and ultramarathons…
And while each one has their own set of challenges making it uniquely difficult
None of them compare to the difficulty of wrestling
Not. Even. Close.
I’ll take a 100 mile race over a severe weight cut any day of the week.
I’ll take an Ironman over practicing, conditioning, and lifting for days on limited food/water.
Wrestling was the ultimate mindset shaper.
You work as hard, or harder, than every other sport
But you do it in a depleted state.
I’m so grateful for my time on the mat.

@DeanTTraining You probably went from 18 to 6 body fat. Getting to 12-15 is ideal for most people, you became national level competition shredded
English

This guy has 40 lbs to lose
I would know because I had the same physique and actually did the cut

joe@spinningjoe
a lot of people have convinced themselves that this body type means strong but chill about it, but that man is in the gym six days a week and is obsessive about hitting his macros, he's in unbelievable shape
English

@Home_of_Fight Huge boxing events are much bigger than the UFC, not remotely close. Zuffa boxing is a joke.
English

🥊 Dana White hints at trying to make boxing more like the UFC with his involvement:
“Look at the rise of the UFC, in 25 years everyone told me you’ll never be able to beat boxing, and here we are today.
The UFC is simple, easy to follow, not as many weight classes, no sanctioning bodies making fights not happen.
Everything in life is about timing, and here right now is my time to get into [boxing]”

@ThePoniExpress It goes 1, 3, 2, balboa,4, creed, creed 2, creed 3. (And would like to believe rocky 5 never happened- an all time horrible movie). But 4 is extremely entertaining.
English

@DeanTTraining This is complete bullshit. The mentzer system (which he didn’t use when competing) doesn’t work. An intense 15-20 sets with mid to high reps and 1-2 minute rests works better than anything for building muscle- and it’s what almlar all bodybuilders use.
English

Should you ever find yourself in the gym doing a 4th or 5th working set of a SINGLE EXERCISE in a SINGLE SESSION…
- Locate the locker room
- Find the sink
- Splash some cold water on your face
- Take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself…
“What the fuck was I doing on sets 1, 2, & 3???”
GymMaxxer@gymmaxxfit
Sorry to say guys if you’re doing 4 sets for an exercise your intensity sucks. Let’s call it how it is. What you’re doing is probably 4 x warm up sets if you can push the same weight in all of them.

@AZIndependant77 @netflix @grok @ufc @MostVpromotions Add in boxing for MVP and they crush the UFC per card and almost overall. Just the Ronda, Paul vs Tyson and Paul vs Joshua had more views than an entire year of ufc.

17 million global viewers tuned in to watch Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano on Netflix, averaging 12.4 million viewers across the triple main event! #RouseyCarano

@DeanTTraining I switched hacks for regular squats and it helped a lot. I am way more confident to get complete full range, and going heavier too. Still do regular bench and deads though but with great form so no injuries.at 50, preventing injuries is huge
English

Reminder:
You are ONE simple decision away from your BEST BODY EVER
That decision?
Drop the Barbell Squat, Bench Press & Deadlift
Replace those exercises with a well-built…
- Pendulum/Hack Squat
- Flat/Seated Chest Press
- 45° Extension
MASSIVE LIFE/HEALTH HACK
John Jennings@Bashagolf
@DeanTTraining Dean, My life has changed when I subbed hack squat for barbell squat and lost 10 LB s by eating 2 yogurts a day. Strength Machines have changed my life!

@GlobalWresOrder @wrestlingnomad Both had unbelievable and dominant seasons, and are crazy talents. I expect both of them to rep at U20, 23 and seniors.

@wrestlingnomad 🤣 Bassett/Bishop McCourt wrestles the toughest schedule in the country, I think that’s a fair critique.

@zach_seyko James looks bigger than Duke. I would see Duke at 157 if he can make it and James/mess at 165/174
English

@zachhomol_ Hey @zachhomol_ have you done any hyrox competitions? I have one coming up in 2 weeks-they are a great combination of running/conditioning with strength stations too. You would crush it
English

@Cheeseaholic_YT What is most impressive is that you got kind of stuck in the middle than guttted it out to finish. Most fail when they can’t get that initial push at leas 3/4 up
English

@_9th_Life_ Interesting post, I am 50 and train 6 days a week and in great shape. As much as I love my family, I do it primarily for myself. I still have the drive of a former D1 wrestler to push hard and want to look and feel good. Wife doesn’t really care that I’m jacked and lean
English

Ever notice how many dudes in their late 40s and 50s are in amazing shape at the gym?
A lot of people assume they are all divorced having a midlife crisis.
While this may be true in some scenarios (considering how many marriages end in divorce), I don’t think it’s the whole story.
What it really comes down to is having their priorities in check.
Family to feed. A wife they don’t want fucking the pool boy. Kids they want to keep up with. Career established. Done chasing bullshit dopamine.
They’re not in the gym to impress anyone. They’re in the gym so they’re around to see their grandchildren grow up. Protect what they’ve built. Stay in the fight.
Most guys in their 20s train for the mirror. Guys in their 50s train because they have people in their life that need them to be at the top of their game.
Which one are you actually doing?
