Right-hander Kenta Maeda and the Detroit Tigers are in agreement on a two-year, $24 million contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN. Detroit has been all over mid-tier pitching, and the 35-year-old Maeda stays in the American League Central. @JonHeyman had agreement.
Kenta Maeda is coming off a season where he posted a 4.23 ERA in 104.1 innings pitched.
The 35 year-old has a career ERA of 3.92 in 7 seasons with the best year of his career coming in 2020, where he finished second in Cy Young voting.
Killian Hayes is now shooting 40.4% from the field on the season while averaging 4.9 assists to just 1.0 turnover per game.
In his last five games Hayes has put up a stat line of:
- 16.2 PPG
- 50.0 FG%
- 40.0 3PT%
- 6.2 APG
- 4.2 RPG
Silencing the doubters 🤫
Isaiah Stewart has been fantastic for the Detroit Pistons throughout their first eight games:
- 12.9 PPG
- 8.0 RPG
- 50.7 FG%
- 46.4 3PT%
Let’s hope he can keep it up 💪🔥
