RTI reveals that the only political party in Jammu and Kashmir that did not appoint a chief agent to monitor the vote in the recently held J&K Rajya Sabha elections was the PDP. In the final results, it was therefore no surprise that the BJP secured the Rajya Sabha seat, despite not having the authorized numbers to do so. It is now clear - not through statements by our party or political commentary, but through the Right to Information Act - that the source of the BJP’s votes has been revealed. So much for the pretentious anti-BJP rhetoric in rallies, while voting for them and ensuring they are strengthened in Parliament and the Assembly. This is a continuation of 2014 PDP-BJP alliance.

Honourable J&K CM @OmarAbdullah Addresses PMGSY-IV Event in Srinagar.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, visited Rangeth to offer his condolences to the bereaved family of Er. Abdul Hameed Bhat, who passed away recently. The deceased was the son of the noted socio-political figure, late Ghulam Muhammad Bhat (Gul Sahib Reda). He was accompanied by senior party leader Khalid Najeeb Suharwardhy; Honourable MLA Chanpora and his Political Advisor @MushtaqGuroo; Publicity Secretary Mir G.M. Saqi; and Block President Budgam Nazir Ahmad Gogo. Together, they offered Fatiha for the departed soul and prayed for strength and fortitude for the grieving family during this difficult time.

Today Hon’ble MLA Beerwah Dr. Shafi Ahmed Wani chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Education Department for Beerwah Constituency to assess the functioning and overall performance of educational institutions in the area. The meeting was attended by the Director School Education Kashmir, Chief Education Officer Budgam, Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), and other senior officials of the department. During the meeting, a detailed review of key aspects of the education sector was undertaken, including staff availability, infrastructure development, student enrollment, implementation of government schemes, and overall academic performance. The Hon'ble MLA emphasized the need to ensure quality education, improve school infrastructure, and address gaps in staffing and resources. Hon'ble MLA Beerwah Dr Shafi Ahmad Wani stressed the importance of accountability, timely implementation of developmental initiatives, and close monitoring of educational institutions to enhance learning outcomes. He also directed the officials to work with dedication and coordination to resolve issues at the grassroots level. The officers present briefed the chair on the current status, ongoing initiatives, and challenges faced by the department. They assured full cooperation in implementing the directions and improving the education system in the constituency. The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthen the education sector and ensure better facilities and opportunities for students across Beerwah Constituency.

Rajya Sabha MP Chaudhary M Ramzan, reacting to the declaration of Jamia Siraj-ul-Uloom as unlawful, said that it was the PDP which introduced UAPA in J&K & they haven't yet gathered full details about the reasons behind declaring the institution unlawful.

He should NEVER have been detained under PSA, in fact he should never have been detained at all. His detention was a gross misuse of this law & totally unjustified. I hope the people responsible for this detention learn a valuable lesson from the decision of the Hon’ble High Court & reflect on the way these laws are being abused in J&K.

On Jammu-Srinagar train from April 30, J&K Honourable CM @OmarAbdullah says, "It will help tourism. This will be a 20-bogie train. We want the capacity and frequency of the train to be increased."
