I am trying to remain calm about this lump after being referred from my oncologist to my surgeon to the awful imaging center which has caused such emotional damage to my psyche. I know they had to close for the snow, but is it a recurrence or is it a fat necrosis?

Hydration impact of different beverages. Basically any common drink will hydrate you well. Coffee doesn’t dehydrate you, it just hydrates you slightly less effectively than water. Milk and orange juice are just about as effective as an oral rehydration solution.

I’m at a cancer treatment center getting my 27th dose of radiation. My doctor recommends 35. @UHC refuses to pay for more than 28. I’ve fought them for weeks to get full treatment approved. This is my Hail Mary to hopefully get them to reconsider.

@Karnythia I think it's specific to everyone's experience, but my mom was retired when I got pregnant and unretired when the child came even though she didn't have to work. It was pretty disappointing.

Like, the number of people who don't have time to help their parents take care of grandma, deal with health issues etc but get upset when those parents are busy is mind blowing. Also the village has opinions and agency. If you don't want their input? Well...

I have never understood why people are so hung up on their (usually still working) parents doing more than whatever they are able to do as grandparents. It's a set of generational expectations that does not appear to make space for societal changes.

I’m thinking about writing a book about the devastating phenomenon of baby boomer grandparents refusing to be directly involved with their children and grandchildren. I’ve heard so many sad stories from GenX parents like me recently. I have one too. I think it should be explored
