@discourselike @adhdjesse Homework requires me to make the effort and set aside time and do it by myself. A test is time bound and I just need to show up (at worst). Studying is annoying but class discussions were a great way to get the content without much effort.

@adhdjesse This is an interesting discussion that I find kinda surprising! I wonder if some of the test-takers were in part stimulated by the task itself. Even the most exciting, stimulating task type/format could overcome my disinterest in a topic. The opposite was probably true! 😂

@adhdjesse Where was this when I was in school? Thank god my masters program had a comprehensive exam option instead of a thesis. I'd still be working on it 15 years later.
