.@SenWarren All of our assets are invested in a blind trust by the largest financial institutions in broad market indexes. To suggest that individual stocks are being bought or sold, at the discretion of any member of the Trump family, would be a lie and blatantly false. Using a silly example, if you buy the “Schwab 1000,” you will get some exposure to Nvidia - as well as a 1,000 other U.S. companies large- and mid-cap stocks. It’s completely disingenuous to represent anything to the contrary. Please be better than this…
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

Trump brought the NVIDIA CEO on his trip to China to lobby Xi Jinping to buy advanced AI chips, even though it would create a U.S. national security threat. It turns out Trump also bought millions in NVIDIA's stock. The President's corruption is a national security disaster.

You are leaving out the most important part: the budget wasn’t “solved” by socialism — it was closed through state support, new revenue assumptions, and tax proposals aimed at a highly mobile tax base. That only works if the people and firms being targeted choose to stay. New York already depends heavily on high earners and financial firms. When you build a budget on “tax the billionaires,” then politically attack the same people who fund jobs, philanthropy, commercial real estate, and tax revenue, you create real risk. Ken Griffin and Citadel are already reportedly rethinking a $6B NYC investment after being singled out in your tax-the-rich campaign. NYC can’t tax its way to prosperity if the tax base leaves. At some point, the city risks eroding the very wealth engine that pays for the programs you are celebrating — and jeopardizing its position as the financial capital of the world.

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit. Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero. We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run. That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

As a 3 year Tesla owner, here are the raw facts about ownership. Maintenance is basically nothing. Rotate your tires every 5 to 6k miles. Top off the washer fluid for $5. That's it. Meanwhile a gas car needs all of that plus oil changes, brake pads, transmission service, and a list of things that never end. Now stack that maintenance on top of $80 a week to fill up. The cost of owning a gas car compared to a Tesla isn't even close. Going electric was one of the best decisions I've ever made. You should make the switch too. What's stopping you from going all electric?

“Fair share” is doing a lot of work here. The top 1% already pay 38.4% of all federal income taxes, and the top 5% pay nearly 60%. Sergey Brin’s private tax bill isn’t public, but the company he co-founded paid $21.5B in cash income taxes in 2025 and $68B from 2023–2025, while employing 190,820 people. Opposing a retroactive wealth tax on unrealized assets is not the same thing as “wanting people to lose healthcare.” It’s a legitimate objection to bad tax policy that can drive capital, founders, companies, and future tax revenue out of California. Even Gov. Newsom has opposed the billionaire wealth-tax approach because of the economic risk. We can debate healthcare funding honestly without pretending that the people already carrying a massive share of the tax base somehow pay nothing.

Google founder Sergey Brin's wealth has DOUBLED to $311 billion since Trump's election. Now he’s spending $57M to oppose a 5% billionaires' wealth tax in California. He’d rather millions lose healthcare than pay his fair share in taxes. This kind of arrogance is unacceptable.

The stats are brutal, and the status quo is clearly failing. Residents deserve safe streets, businesses deserve protection, and repeat offenders cannot be allowed to cycle endlessly through the system with no consequence. But accountability isn’t the opposite of compassion — it’s part of it. If someone is addicted, mentally ill, or repeatedly breaking the law, the humane answer is not to look away. It is to require treatment, enforce consequences, and stop enabling people to destroy themselves and the community around them.

WOW. New dystopian SLC homeless/crime stats just dropped. Get ready for your blood to boil: 77% of the 1,021 individuals arrested 4+ times by @slcpd were homeless (‘24-‘25) top 25% most-arrested individuals, cost the state $51 MILLION a year in shelter, police, court and medical expenses 255 top recidivist homeless criminals had nearly TEN THOUSAND criminal charges, 2% for violent crime, 7% for property crime, 30% for criminal trespass and 33% for drug possession. Around 84% of those with the highest rates of recidivism were homeless. BUT JUST 13% of the arrests led to jail time. And all these sleaze-ball race communist DEI leaders like Sim Gill, Rosie Rivera, Jenny Wilson, Erin Mendenhall, and all of SLC Council want YOUR votes to keep funding this trash pit THEY created.

Easy to dismiss on the way out — harder to replace the tax base, investment, and jobs they support. In New York City, ~1% of filers generate ~40% of income tax revenue — extreme concentration. Washington is already seeing the early signals: ~$1.7B in net income has flowed out of the state, high-earning households are leaving, and even high-profile exits like Howard Schultz and Jeff Bezos relocating to Florida. Nearly half of business leaders are now considering leaving. Capital is mobile — and policy signals matter

If the allegations were fabricated, that’s devastating for the person accused. Reputations, careers, and lives can be impacted overnight — and those harms don’t just disappear when the truth comes out. There also needs to be real accountability for knowingly false claims — both to address the damage done here and to protect the integrity of legitimate cases.

I think this is more headlines than reality right now. There are still some fundamental hurdles to clear—no confirmed hyperscaler customers, capital at this scale isn’t fully locked, and without a real grid connection there’s no true backup power—just more on-site generation that has to work flawlessly. And the biggest constraint isn’t money, it’s materials. Turbines, HRSGs, GSUs/UATs, large transformers, breakers, cooling systems—all are sitting in multi-year supply queues. They have none. Mr Wonderful is fun to watch on TV, but he’s not a real player in this space - especially at this scale.
