I'm still not convinced that Trump was really even trying to win in his first term as I thought it more likely his goal was developing a media network and he used the campaign as a springboard. But after he won, he appeared to try to be a decent president and fulfill campaign promises to the extent possible. However, he was thwarted and undermined at every turn by the Democrats, the Deep State, the media, and even the establishment Republicans, to the point there were endless baseless accusations, manufactured scandals, and unjustified Impeachments. After his term was over, the Democrats even tried to put him in prison for the crime of not doing what their donors wanted. That forced him to find powerful allies and to promise to do their bidding, which included Zionist billionaires. And all these experiences apparently convinced him that trying to be a dutiful and responsible president offered no rewards and only punishments, so he decided that in a second term he would just do the bidding of his powerful supporters and enrich himself and his family.

@RpsAgainstTrump The shocking part is that he wasn't like that in his first term. But since the Democrats accused him of that and the establishment kept on attacking him while he tried to do what's right, he abandoned being the Boy Scout and became the corrupt liar they had caricatured him as.

Megyn Kelly, who endorsed and campaigned for Trump in the 2024 election: “I didn’t expect the corruption to be quite as widespread as it has been. The self-dealing, the lining of his and his family’s pockets. It’s shocking… You look across the board at the Trump family, I’ve never seen a family get so rich off the presidency.”

@RitaPanahi Too many people laugh. I'm an ex-Democrat who laughed at W Bush running after watching him as governor of Texas where he demonstrated he was an incredibly corrupt mendacious buffoon. If the people in Carlin's "Big Club" want it, it will probably happen, and they like puppets.

@thedanielstahl @SaltyCracker9 The anti-human Feminist-LGBQT-Woke quasi-religion is far more dangerous as it rips the fabric of human society leading to atomization while it diminishes the motivation to prosper and even to live.

@krassenstein Springsteen just proved himself to be an idiot. As for decades he branded himself as a moral crusader against US foreign interventions, now he is supporting USAID which is cover to CIA ops for foreign intervention. What a virtue-signalling ignoramus he turned out to be.

@RealAlexJones It was India's misfortune to have been a British colony which led to the Indian elite learning English, and that facilitated emigration of their elite to the West. The language barrier for the Chinese greatly reduced such emigration (of the Chinese elite) from China.

@amalaekpunobi Why would anyone be proud to follow the reptilian style of sexual behavior? Reptiles only have one abdominal orifice, the cloaca, and they use it for waste, sex, and birth, but evolution designed mammals to have another orifice and spent millions of years perfecting it for sex.

@KristenWaggoner @ShannonBream @FoxNewsSunday It's perfectly rational for the state to favor hetero unions over homosexual ones. Maybe the most important reason to have marriage at all is to provide a stable environment for the children of the marriage, and, without unnatural interventions, that requires a hetero couple.

4:00 yesterday Trump announces they’ve made a deal About 2 hours later a man with a long history of mental illness who was literally involuntarily committed by the secret service last July somehow gets access to a gun and shows up and opens fire on the White House. 11 hours after that Benjamin Netanyahu decides to make a public post specifically about this shooting that is very reminiscent of his weird ass posts following Charlie’s murder. He made this one before ever even publicly acknowledging the very unpopular Iran deal. And within hours, it looks like the whole deal is off again. Call me crazy, IDGAF, this shit is not coincidence. I don’t know how they’re doing it, probably some kind of mind control or hypnosis but it’s them. I cant rove it but its them.

BREAKING: The White House no longer expects an agreement with Iran to be announced today and thinks it could take "several more days" for the deal's approval, per Axios. Yesterday, President Trump said a deal announcement was coming "shortly." US officials are "optimistic" but say the deal could still fall apart.

Controversy has erupted over Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming film adaptation of Homer’s poem The Odyssey, which arrives in the wake of a contested 2017 translation by Emily Wilson, a classics professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Critics of Wilson’s translation argue that she has rewritten Odysseus from a hero into a morally suspect figure. Nolan cast a black actress, Lupita Nyong’o, to play the Mediterranean woman Helen of Troy, prompting criticisms of hypocrisy and racism from Elon Musk and others. It is inconceivable that Hollywood would today use a white actor to play a black character, and yet the media applauds when white characters are played by black actors. Isabella Reinhardt, an assistant professor of classics at the University of Austin, and my colleague, disagrees with some of Wilson’s choices. For example, Wilson translates polytropos, which Homer uses to describe Odysseus, as a “complicated man,” where Robert Fagles, in his 1996 translation, renders it as a “man of twists and turns.” The choice is representative of Wilson’s depiction of Odysseus as something other than heroic. Reinhardt, who recorded a podcast with me last week, received her PhD in the same Penn classics department where Wilson teaches. “I do think Odysseus is not a perfect hero,” says Reinhardt, “but he is the hero. Her translation strays into a negative view of Odysseus that’s not entirely warranted....” Please subscribe now to support Public's award-winning journalism, read the full article, and watch the full podcast!

Christopher Nolan's adaptation of “The Odyssey” relies on a celebrated feminist translation. But people are right to feel that, in it, "the idea of a hero is being degraded," says classicist Isabella Reinhardt. It is thus yet another assault on a foundation of Western culture.

It seems that the Wokies in Academia spend way too much time and energy celebrating differences in perspectives and maintaining them when the purpose of Academia used to be to build a universal model of the universe that all could believe in and trust, putting people on the same page which allows for more trust, more social harmony, less conflict, and more collaborative efforts toward common goals.

Another ludicrous misuse of academic resources: bureaucratically-curated "dialogues across differences."  Colleges should be cramming knowledge into their students' empty brains, not overseeing politically correct conversations about the ephemera of the moment. I discussed the betrayal of the universities and Trump’s halting efforts to reform them with Northwestern’s Young Americans for Freedom Chapter last week. Thank you to @calebnunes13 and @YAF at Northwestern for hosting me.

@CalltoActivism That's the fake Democrat agenda. The real Democrat agenda is to increase: racial division, gender division, LGBQT, DEI, CRT, open borders, H1-B visas, foreign aid under USAID, wealth transfer to their big donors, disintegration of the middle class, and AI replacement of jobs.

🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Leader Hakeem Jeffries just laid out the Democrats’ ENTIRE midterm message in plain English and it’s one to be PROUD of: 🔵 Driving down the high cost of living 🔵 Fixing the broken healthcare system 🔵 Getting ICE under control 🔵 Cleaning up corruption in the White House 🔵 Cleaning up corruption in Congress 🔵 Cleaning up corruption at the Supreme Court 🔵 Ending the “reckless and costly war of choice” in the Middle East 🔵 Bringing people together vs. Republicans tearing people apart “Do you want an affordable country… or a country that solely is benefiting the wealthy, the well-off, and the well-connected?” “Do you wanna move America forward, or do you wanna turn back the clock?” “Democrats are gonna fight hard to make your life better.” That’s the choice. Democrats fighting for lower costs, healthcare, accountability, and stability, while Republicans keep dragging the country deeper into chaos, corruption, division, and endless outrage. THE CHOICE IS AN EASY ONE.

It's smart to always question the motives of someone as wealthy and influential as Musk, but here keep in mind that the great majority of billionaires in the West are on the other side of the issue. Are they all working together playing a divide and conquer game or do they have different priorities? It's hard to know.

If people keep falling for this, it only makes society more toxic and dangerous for our kids. I’ll never blindly trust billionaires acting like saviors. @TaylorIndiana @elonmusk One good measure of free speech is the number of arrests for on-line comments. The last year for which data is fully available in 2023. In that year, China had roughly 1,500 such arrests, and the UK, with about 1/20th of the population, had 12,183 arrests.
