USC professor Mark Marino tried a unique experiment: teach students about AI tools, then ban all devices for 5 weeks (handwriting only), then let students choose. Surprisingly, students didn't get writer's block when unplugged, enjoyed reading physical books, and wrote just as well by hand. When computers returned, the professor trusted students more having seen their real writing.
