@CoderUday that removes AI-generated Co-Authored-By trailers while preserving human co-authors, in case it’s useful to you or your team

Grok-4.5 from @SpaceXAI debuts at #13 on the new Agent Arena leaderboard, based on 9.8K live agentic sessions.
Compared to Grok 4.3, this release is a significant step forward in agentic performance (#29->#13). It makes major gains on Bash Recovery, catching up to Anthropic and OpenAI models, and shows a substantial increase in confirmed task success, making it far more effective in real-world use. Check out rankings by signal below.
Congrats to the SpaceXAI team on the strong Grok-4.5 release!

When Claude writes code, it signs the commit: Co-Authored-By: Claude. I'm paying for the model, and it still takes a credit line. Okay, fine.
But co-authorship is a claim about contribution. And that logic should work both ways.
So what about all those people who involuntarily "contributed" the training data? You know, half the internet. Don't they deserve co-authorship on the models?

@vladikk Exactly. The part that bothers me, the attribution is added by default, without explicit consent.
I recently extended a Git hook that removes AI-generated Co-Authored-By trailers while preserving human co-authors, in case it’s useful to you or your team

AI coding tools increasingly add themselves as co-authors to Git commits by default.
But who gave them permission to claim authorship?
If a developer wants to credit an AI tool, that’s perfectly valid. The problem is making that attribution automatic, as if consent were assumed.
So I extended no-coAuthor, a Git hook that removes AI-generated Co-Authored-By trailers while preserving real human co-authors.
The goal is simple: attribution should be opt-in, not imposed by default.
