Terry Fox was just a kid. While he was in the hospital to get his leg amputated his coach dropped by for a visit and brought him a copy of Runner's World in which Terry read about a story about an amputee runner. That's when he had a crazy idea.

@Debretts @BexBookaholic I work in IT and the subject of women in IT came up. I mentioned that I had done my masters research on why more women don't apply to IT programs and still... after that, I continued to hear loads and loads about it, without consideration for my lived experience and research.

@BexBookaholic It's a common problem – so common, we now include it in our A-Z of Modern Manners!

I have to deal with someone regularly who mansplains EVERYTHING. I would be keen to know how other women handle this type of thing without resorting to physical violence. (For context - last week he oh so kindly explained the menopause to me. What a hero 😳)
