Balloon Fiesta Crew! We deployed our SMOL ozone lidar and other ozone sensors to Albuquerque to show the public the all the fascinating research we’ve done over the last few years. We will also host some ozone sensors on several balloons!

@JingqiuMao @NASA_TOLNET If we can somehow get an alert in our current system that indicates potential electrical convecive systems we could try and operate in certain conditions and in between rain events. @mattnasa18 @kkno21 - are there electrical tracers we could add to the alert system?

@jo3hnsullivan @NASA_TOLNET I am actually looking for lightning O3. There are increasing evidence on lightning production of O3 from field observations and laboratory studies. Real time Boundary Layer @NASA_TOLNET ozone observations showing a “carry-over” of ozone from yesterday to today. We shall see if this results in an ozone event today. Will try to update later this evening.
