@RichardMotzkin @WMckennie @juventusfc What a Baller. Something so genuinely American about the way he plays football. Maybe it’s my basketball roots. The way he roams up and down with swagger.

@academic_la Someone in Israel once editorialized that Justice is the enemy of peace. There is so much injustice to go around that if we try to settle all the scores, we’ll never get to peace.

Regardless of which political ideology you lean toward, there’s just too much hate all around. That kind of bitterness cancels out most of the good that any political movement might offer, because it just breeds more anger and pain on every side. The content of your beliefs matters less than how you treat other people—if you use your ideology as an excuse to hate, you end up doing more harm than good.

@faniaoz I don’t think even Hamas, with their absurd triumphalist rhetoric, can celebrate this one.

The hostages’ release is an easy test for us moderates: we rejoice while the extremists rage. Israeli retreat from Gaza will be a more difficult test, if Hamas remains in power and celebrates its vile idea of victory. The release of the senior mass-murderers from Israeli prisons - a dire test. But we are determined to pass it. This agreement must be fulfilled to the letter, including a new regime in Gaza and bona fide ceasefire on both sides.

A good moment to repeat this: if everyone, everywhere, truly accepted that seven million Palestinians and seven million Jews are not going anywhere, and that any possible future has to include and encompass both, the whole energy around this conflict would shift. There, and even more so around the world. I mean truly, deeply accept. Stop obfuscating, wishing, avoiding, fantasizing, implying that this can end any other way than with *some* form of coexistence. There is no other way.

@NirBarzilaiMD There are different terms, but also different audiences. Antiaging, conservative. Longevity, a bit bolder. Immortality, for the revolutionaries. So far, from my experience doing RAADfest, longevity seems to be the universal term. People use it to cover all of it.

The field of aging research needs a rebrand! Why? Because our field’s narrative is fractured. Too many terms—anti‑aging, longevity, rejuvenation—blur the science and confuse the audience. These terms are used interchangeably, creating uncertainty among policymakers, investors, physicians and the public.

We are proud to recognize the @rlecoalition as a global partner and supporter of the International Longevity Summit Africa 2025 (ILSA25). Yesterday, the Coalition gave us one of the greatest boosts yet by sharing ILSA25 through their global mailing list, amplifying Africa’s voice in the longevity revolution to audiences around the world. It is a bold step in the right direction. We deeply appreciate the leadership of @JamesRstrole, @joebardin, and the entire @rlecoalition team for their vision, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to the cause of radical life extension. Together, we are ensuring that Africa is not left behind in the future of health and human longevity. Thank you, Coalition for Radical Life Extension, for standing with us. Venue: Durban, South Africa | Sept 10–11, 2025 For registration & partnership: conference.taffds.org #ILSA2025 #LongevityScience #AfricaRising #RadicalLifeExtension

@PeterDiamandis The answer, unfortunately, seems to be most of them. Perhaps they still view their immortality in terms of the wealth they leave behind. Imaginary immortality rather than actual.

@AmiDar Everything else is quite simply a call for blood. So everybody who says they want peace should want an accommodation for both sides.

Looking forward to talking about taking longevity global. Join us.
Ósìnákáchī Àkùmà Kálū@OsinakachiAkuma

Africa is not just the world’s patient. We are part of the cure. A few days ago, I had a powerful conversation with @joebardin and @JamesRstrole of the @rlecoalition, the initiative behind @raadfest, the world’s largest public event on extending human lifespans. What began as a discussion on @afrolongevity's role soon turned into something much bigger: a call for a united front across continents to push the boundaries of what it means to live longer, healthier, and better. Good people! This indeed is leadership. No wonder my CEO - @kgomotsegoRam would always say that, "...for us to get things right, collaboration is key". For too long, global health narratives have framed Africa as the land of disease burdens, as if our only contribution to medical discourse is fighting outbreaks. That view is outdated and dangerous. The future of longevity is a human future, and Africa’s perspective, science, and culture must be at the table shaping it. This new panel will bring together leaders from the US, Asia, Europe, and Africa, from evolutionary biology and stem cell research to bioregenerative medicine, biohacking, and longevity policy. For the first time, I’ll share a stage with the celebrated Prof. Michael Rose, whose groundbreaking work in evolutionary biology has changed how we understand aging itself. We’ll be asking hard questions: What’s actually working in the fight against aging? Where are we failing? And how can we unite across borders so that breakthroughs benefit everyone, not just the privileged few? It’s free. It’s global. It’s time to change the story of human lifespans. To be honest, I'm super excited that this is happening 😌! Secure your complimentary access today! DM for registration 🙏🏽

Sorry, that's not accurate nor is it a reasonable comparison. Rapamycin is FDA approved with extensive safety testing, these peptides are not. I don't know of a single case where anyone went to the hospital from an acute reaction to off-label rapamycin. Despite that, I think it would be reasonable to question the professionalism of a medical professional who prescribed and dispensed rapamycin at a conference without evaluating the medical history of the patient.

I'd heard the rumors of 11 people getting sick from peptide injections. It appears they were at least directionally true. This @propublica story is definitely worth a read. Amazingly, this isn't the incident I was most disturbed by at RAADFest, but it certainly illustrates the risks to credibility of legitimate healthspan medicine from irresponsible actors, of which there are *many* out there. I'll be recording my thoughts on this for the @Optispan_Inc podcast this morning, and we'll get it out as quickly as we can.
