We assess that the "tunnel" entrance posited by the @nytimes does not connect underground to the tunnel complex at Esfahan that is believed to hold much, if not most, of the HEU in Iran's possession. From one of the Good ISIS Team: This site is likely an ancient water access ramp that is typical in the Middle East dating back millenia similar to a "qanat", but this one depends heavily from runoff from the nearby granite mountain that encases the Esfahan nuclear related tunnels. This one uses a ramp to gain vehicle access to water that can be collected via a "Mother 'Well'" in the middle of a drainage basin at the upper end of the ramp. However, this site has undergone significant backfilling and earth removal at various times beginning in mid-2021. Some of that activity occurred during the last weeks of November 2022, when it was entirely blocked by significant piles of earth. By April 2023 much of that material had been removed, but the ramp was still blocked.  There have been some minor changes over time since. Perhaps the most significant movement of earth either away from the site or into the ramp area between 2 February 2026 and 27 February 2026, which could be related to preparations for a potential war with Israel and the USA.  It should be noted that this activity continued after the Esfahan tunnels were blocked by significant earth movements using numerous dump trucks.. isis-online.org/isis-reports/i… This site is 3.5 kilometers from the nuclear-related Esfahan tunnel entrances on the other side of a granite mountain.  If it was a tunnel, then where is all the accumulated granite spoil from excavation of a three kilometer "tunnel,” and when did the excavation happen? Bottom line: There is absolutely no reason to believe that this site is physically connected by an underground passageway to the Esfahan nuclear related tunnel complex. We can neither confirm nor deny that this site has any relation with the enriched uranium stockpile as was suggested by in the NYT article. PS One person posted that this is now being used to burn industrial waste, but we have not seen any smoke at this location. This is a developing report and may be expanded based on developments or by new information and published on the Institute X page or website

I always go back to this post by @joel_rayburn, who perfectly understood what the world will regain when Iranians reclaim their country and freedom from the Islamic terrorists that hijacked it. We will soon witness the joyous volcanic eruption of Iranian creativity and culture.

When the day comes that the Iranian people free themselves from the chains Ali Khamenei & his Islamic Republic have placed on them, the world is going to see a joyous volcanic eruption of Iranian creativity & culture that has been suppressed for so long. It will change the world.

Ambassador Tom Barrack@USAMBTurkiye·
The United States is closely following developments in the Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo with grave concern. We urge all parties to exercise the utmost restraint and to place the protection of civilian lives and property above all other considerations. Over the past thirteen months, Syria has made historic strides toward stability, national reconciliation, and reconstruction following decades of devastating conflict. The landmark discussions held this week with Israeli representatives mark a pivotal step toward broader regional peace, underscoring Syria’s resolute commitment to breaking the cycle of violence, suffering, and atrocity that has afflicted their nation for more than half a century. Profound transformations of this nature cannot be achieved overnight. The deep scars of prolonged conflict require time to heal, and enduring progress demands patience, tolerance, and genuine mutual understanding across all segments of Syrian society. Nonetheless, we remain steadfast in the vision of a Syria that ensures full inclusion and equal rights for every citizen—Sunni, Kurd, Druze, Christian, Alawite, and all other communities—without exception. Just this past week, we stood on the threshold of successfully concluding the March 10, 2025 integration agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian government—an accord that would significantly advance security coordination, shared governance, and national unity. That objective remains eminently achievable. Together with our allies and responsible regional partners, we stand ready to facilitate efforts to de-escalate tensions and to afford Syria and its people a renewed opportunity to choose the path of dialogue over division. We therefore issue an urgent appeal to the leadership of the Syrian government, SDF, local authorities in Kurdish-administered areas, and all armed actors on the ground: pause hostilities, reduce tensions immediately, and commit to de-escalation. Let us prioritize the exchange of ideas and constructive proposals over the exchange of fire. The future of Aleppo, and of Syria as a whole, belongs to its people and must be shaped through peaceful means, not violence. At this critical juncture, the region must stand united against disruptive external forces and their proxies that seek to undermine the remarkable progress achieved in the past year and to erode the enduring legacy of @POTUS’s Middle East peace initiatives. Their aim is renewed instability; ours is lasting peace grounded in mutual respect and shared prosperity. Syria’s new chapter is one of cooperation, not confrontation. We will reach it together. Ambassador Tom Barrack; Special Envoy to Syria

Commentary Donald J. Trump Posts From Truth Social
Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN. Any further attack or retaliation by the “Houthis” will be met with great force, and there is no guarantee that that force will stop there. Iran has played “the innocent victim” of rogue terrorists from which they’ve lost control, but they haven’t lost control. They’re dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, “Intelligence.” Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire! The United States welcomes the recently announced agreement between the Syrian interim authorities and the Syrian Democratic Forces to integrate the northeast into a unified Syria. The United States reaffirms its support for a political transition that demonstrates credible, non-sectarian governance as the best path to avoid further conflict. We will continue to watch the decisions made by the interim authorities, noting with concern the recent deadly violence against minorities.

Jolani and HTS, a listed terrorist organization, are also delusional if they think the world and Syria's neighbors will support his HTS-dominated "salvation government" as it imposes a transitional government on all of Syria that circumvents the UN-led 2254 political process.

I think Abu Muhammad al-Jolani must be delusional if he thinks that Syrians, having seen the departure of a 54-yr dictatorship yesterday, will sit still as he installs himself as another dictator in Assad's place.
