GLS proved to be an independent predictor of death & HF-hospitalization after ACS. The marginal improvement in Harrell’s C from GLS on top of LVEF and clinical data does however suggest a limited clinical application of GLS in this population. #ISRHT22

LVEF reported to the SWEDEHEART registry appears reliable. Discrimination between stages of reduced LVEF in clinical practice does however remain more challenging.
