@ESPNGM @BlueJays I think Hoffman right now is confidence. Throws the ball well and then gives up the big hit. Would be big to get Yimi back. Rogers will be good. Varland is solid. Fisher is solid . Fluharty will be good. I’d send little to the moon and give Macko a shot at that 2nd lefty spot.

@cullenoncurling Do you remember the 2001 men’s worlds with team Ferbey??? The one official pulled like three straight and it put tha person in a terrible position and Canadians across the country were up in arms.

And honestly I think the officials themselves didn’t want to do it either. They have no benefit of replay and have to make the call with the naked eye and that’s a brutal position to be in. So it’s really created a no-win situation here

Part of the reason hogline sensors came into play in the first place is because the players didn’t want intervention from the officials. While you can understand WC wanting this from an optics perspective, if this turns into a rock-pulling show that’s bad for the sport
