Awesome tradition! One day in high school gym class we had to do pull ups. I think you had to do six to get credit. I jumped up there, did my six, and got down. There was this kid named John, and I noticed that he intentionally wanted to be last, waiting until everyone else had gone. The highest that day was ten, and he did eleven. I spent the next couple months doing pull ups. I had a plan. The next time the gym teacher had us doing pull ups, I stood in the back and watched. This time eighteen was the max. John did nineteen. The teacher said, “Anyone else? Joe, I don’t have you down.” John’s eyes got really big. I got up there and did twenty six pulls.
