@TheRoyGreenShow in 2020 I was helping clean my grandparents house after they had passed. My grandparents loved Reader's Digest and we found many. I found one from the 1950s and one of the articles spoke about the eventual emergence of antibiotic resistant bacteria!

I am new here and and sharing my story about my 11 year old boxer/Rottweiler mix who was 11 named Bruin. This past Sunday morning stared out as usual. Bruin nudging me in bed to get up and feed him. He ate, went for his walk and had a bowl of water. While I'm folding the laundry I hear a loud thump. I really didn't think much of it because Bruin always throws himself to the floor to lay down. My 6 year old turned the corner and yelled mama something is wrong with Bruin! I went over to him and couldn't get up and was breathing so heavy and wet himself and pooped. I tried so hard to get him up...I screamed for my oldest son to call his dad home. My husband and I rushed him to the vets. I think he drove like 90 while I layed in the back with Bruin begging him to be ok. The vet rushed him right in and soon called us into a big room which wasn't an exam room. He had a massive tumor rupture on his spleen and there was alot of internal bleeding along with many other masses in his stomach. He was suffering. The vet reassured us that this is sudden and we did everything we could. I layed with him as he took his last breath and the vet said his heart has stopped. I said so has mine! Everyone who knows me knows that Bruin was my baby! I'd give anything for one last tug of War, him grabbing my slippers. He'd hear us laugh and get in on the action and pull at your clothes. Loved when I dried my hair for me to point the hair dryer at him. His loud bark, him jumping off all 4 paws for no reason and every reason. He was such a handful but my handful. Maybe I subconsciously knew and that's why I bought him ice cream last night and called him up on the couch. He showed no signs of being sick! He even jumped on me that morning. He was himself, no sign of sickness! He was even off the wall that morning! This was so fast and sudden. I'm going to miss him beyond words and everything triggers me and hurts. I'm just waiting to his his big beautiful face come charging at me 😭💔 those that ask if I'm ok the answer is no, a big piece of me died with him today. @Dalbodog This is my last picture of Sugar 3 weeks ago.She was an emergency with a ruptured tumor that caused internal bleeding. I thought we were going to fix a minor tummy issue...she was 9. Her little brother Gus still mourns. As do I.

Our life is so sad. We adopted two gorgeous puppies 14 years ago from the same litter. They have never been apart and they were so bonded. 2 weeks ago our little girl Roz (she's the smaller one in the pictures) was fine on Saturday. By 7 am Sunday morning I had her at emergency. 4 hours later she was gone. Cancer and bloating. This was 9 weeks after her cancer surgery that she absolutely rebounded from and was her normal self with a 90% survival rate. Well, not for her. She ended up in the 10% and the cancer came back fast and harsh. I truly thought she was in the 90% and was totally caught off guard. When they wheeled her into the rainbow room she was so happy to see me after 3 hours of tests and X-rays that I insisted on to make sure I was doing the right thing. She thought she was going home and tried to get up. My heart shattered at that moment. I stayed with her, held her little head and told her we were going home and what a good girl she was until she slipped away. It was awful. After leaving I got home and her brother was on the couch and jumped up to see me. He was happy I was home but looked for his sister. It took him 2 days to realize she wasn't coming home... on the Tuesday he was on the porch barking and went to get his sister to bark with him. That was their thing. It was then he realized she was gone, it was heartbreaking. He just layed down when she didn't join him and that was it. I'm grieving her so bad, but I have to do it in a separate room away from him and then come out and pretend everything is ok for him. Unfortunately he is grieving terribly. Our hearts are broken with her loss and watching him give up on life is making it especially difficult. The last picture is him, our Bill laying there lonely without his life partner waiting for her to join him, even though she won't. I cry hard daily for her and yet try to be brave for him. Watching him grieving is making matters worse. Our fear is losing him next due to grief. I just can't breath most days. Coyote that ran into my dining room last night in Wpg. Although it looked cute & calm was happy I kept my distance & waited for @MBGov conservation officer to safely get it out of my house. Got vicious fast when approached. Don’t forget wild animals can carry infectious disease
