On this last day of National Immunization Awareness week - sharing a photo of me and my grandmother in 1973. She came to help my parents when I spent a month in hospital with #meningitis. I experienced hearing loss, had to learn to walk again but that is better than the news my parents were given the first day I was rushed to emergency - that I was going into a coma and unlikely to survive. Fortunately, we now have vaccines for this kind of meningitis so that children and parents do not have to suffer. However, I will never forget that my nursery school friend who was also infected at the same time did lose his battle. I was the lucky one. #NIAW2024 #VaccinesWork #GetImmunized

But it is also fake story with true video, Innocuous, cute fake story perhaps? Ongoing example of systematic lack of check for misinformation before sharing, even at the highest levels of government. No wonder community has no idea who to trust which can lead to serious harms.
