APPLEBAUM: Interesting thing about Russian leadership is we don’t know who would replace Putin if he disappeared overnight, died, fell out of window, or was whisked away. We also don’t know who would replace him or how that person would be chosen. But, whatever follows his exit from stage, there will be lot of instability. That’s also increasing nervousness and anxiety you’re hearing from Russia now.
