I just vibe coded a photo sharing app in Replit using the new mobile stack. I wanted an iPhoto level of interaction quality. Images should animate perfectly in and out of their positions. Background should scale and get darker when you drag. I didn’t write a single line of code.

Creates scenario where you see posts from people that you follow (unclear from a community), think - I'll reply to that later - then question your sanity if such a post every existed, because the only way to find it is through search? Must be missing something.

Communities on X seem to have very weird/inconsisteny visibility unless I'm misunderstanding something.
In my feed, I see posts and replies from communities I'm not a part of - which is fine. But then if I go the profile of a post, I can't see the community posts.

EU–INC reached a new milestone: The Commissioner tasked with writing the legal proposal is leaning towards a regulation (1 EU–INC) instead of directive (27 new entities).
Next step is convincing the heads of state in Europe of this.

It's finally official, Decipad is shutting down.
What a ride it was! So many learnings. And...
I still believe there is a need for a product like this, that makes modelling more approachable, more human.
I also believe that, as a stepping stone, spreadsheets were probably the most important digital product category, but time *will* come for something better, only Decipad is not that.

@GergelyOrosz It's not time efficient, but you also effectively rule out say 90-95% of candidates right? Mostly only candidates that are already unemployed can sustainably interview this way, and likely can't interview at multiple companies simultaneously?

The sooner you realize interviewing is a series of tradeoffs, the better you will be.
Yes, 60-minute algorithmical coding interviews do not represent the job... but they are very time efficient
A 1-week trial perfectly simulates the job... and it's not time efficient!

I keep saying that (paid) trial weeks are becoming the only type of interview where you can do both things:
1. Simulate the real work, no algo interviews
2. Do not care one bit if candidates use AI coding tools: in fact, encourage it!
