After coaching 500+ clients, studying nutrition and training for 8 years..
Here's everything I wish I knew when I was getting started:
1 - Ozempic is not a miracle drug. You'll lose a f*ck ton of muscle and will likely be miserable when you stop taking it. SOLVE THE ROOT PROBLEM.
2 - You don't need cardio to lose weight. Prioritize strength training.
3 - Don't want to get lean and healthy? Keep drinking alcohol.
4 - Creatine, magnesium, and whey protein are the most "bang for your buck" supplements.
5 - Ignore most mainstream advice. Following the "Food Pyramid" will make it difficult to get lean and muscular.
6 - 70% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Drink water upon waking up, with each meal, and throughout the day. Add electrolytes.
7 - Most personal trainers have no idea what works VS what doesn't. Find yourself doing push-ups on a bosu ball? Fire them immediately.
8 - Muscle is built by lifting close to failure, sufficient protein, quality sleep, and adding weight/reps over time.
9 - If you're not losing weight, and/or your body measurements aren't changing, you're eating too many calories.
10 - Desk treadmills are an incredible life hack. Our clients are able to get 10,000 steps during their workday in just a couple hours.
11 - Three to four days of *MEANINGFUL* lifting is the sweet spot. Anything more can cause fatigue and recovery issues, anything less can make it hard to build muscle.
12 - If your diet was mostly: Steak, beef, chicken, salmon, tuna, turkey, vegetables, fruit, whole potatoes, white rice, whey protein, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, jerky, and whole milk... you'd have a real tough time being overweight.
13 - Caffeine is a powerful appetite suppressant. If you need to reduce calories, skip breakfast, sip on caffeine until noonish, and have a ton of protein in your first meal.
14 - Fitness is a MENTAL game. Failure to see results is often due to poor priorities. If you TRULY wanted to get in shape, you'd do whatever it takes. Whether that be planning and doing the research yourself, or hiring someone to help, YOU WOULD MAKE IT HAPPEN.
15 - Being "busy" is not an excuse. "Having kids" is not an excuse. Working two jobs or "running a business" is not an excuse. Quit lying to yourself.
16 - "Bulking" and "Cutting" exist for a reason. Muscle is built best in a surplus, and you must be in a deficit to lose fat.
17 - If you're not losing "weight" but your waist is shrinking. Keep doing what you're doing. An inch off your waist correlates to 2-4lbs of fat-loss.
18 - Don't be PERFECT, be COMMITTED. There's a 100% chance you'll make mistakes, and there's a 100% chance you'll succeed if you never f*cking quit.
19 - Everyone I've talked to who does Crossfit has a story about how they got injured from it. Avoid.
20 - Machines and cables are typically the best for building muscle.
21 - Don't do cardio before you lift. It'll limit your progressive overload ability.
22 - Just f*cking start.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court is allowing Texas to arrest and jail illegal immigrants who cross into the United States illegally.
A massive loss for the Biden administration 🔥
The Court shot down Biden's emergency request and determined that the law can go into effect while litigation goes on in lower courts.
The law SB4 allows police officers to arrest illegal immigrants and impose criminal penalties on them. It also allows state judges to deport people back to Mexico.
Big win.
