It is exhausting and unbelievably hard to have to answer “how is she doing” There’s one guy in my life (my boss & cousin) that has the ability to ask me in such an enthusiastic way that it warms my heart to have him ask. Everybody else can stick to “how do you think the 🦅 are”

I have come to a conclusion that you all can grasp. When you call a primary caregiver who is a friend, ask them about ANYTHING other than the patient. Football, weather, golf, NHL, their car, tell them a friend of yours has gout 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Reach out, let them bring it up.
