BREAKING: New York Times calls Donald Trump to ask him if he has in fact been told that he would be indicted — and Trump’s answer is VERY telling. First, when asked by New York Times reporters, Trump initially said that it’s “not true.” But then, the reporters asked Trump if he has been sent a “target letter” from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office notifying him that he’s about to be criminally charged for stealing highly classified documents, Trump stuttered and replied that the reporters “have to understand” that he is “not directly in touch with prosecutors.” Do you see what he did there? It’s a typical Trump lie. Sure, prosecutors didn’t directly speak to him, they sent him a target letter. So technically, Trump can say that he isn’t “directly in touch with the prosecutors” and pretend that he isn’t about to be charged. But he DID receive a target letter — so his world is about to come crashing down all around him. Even better, the New York Times report also states that “aides and advisers” to Trump are in “a state of high tension” due to Trump’s looming arrest.
