I think this collective feeling of "I don't enjoy coding anymore because it's so easy with AI" is good to talk about and realize, and I have it too I miss going to bed with a coding challenge I have to get through and then wake up and in the shower I get the answer and I scream EUREKA!!!!! But then you quickly just have to accept that the world has permanently changed now and it's just not going back because letting AI code for you is simply so much faster and effective and will only get better with every passing year So the better mental approach for me to these things is to just aggressively embrace it and change myself instead, if the fun in solving the challenges is gone, where else can I find the fun? I'm lucky a bit because for me the fun has always been building new things in general, not so much the coding part, although the coding challenges were fun for me too. But having ideas and just building new things was always the most fun. So I have to double down on that now, making more things and making better things and making them much faster than before. Especially now that literally everyone in the world has access to the same coding skill as everyone else (which is AI), the focus will have to aggressively be on what remains as a differentiator for me as a creator, which is my ideas and the way I execute them, not coding them So that's what I will try focus on from now on I think

The effectiveness of your AI usage will be a function of the breadth and precision of your vocabulary. We deem a person a “clear thinker” when the words they communicate with *enhance* your model of the world. If you’re asking AI to draft an email or vibe-code an app, a simple prompt will get you em dashes or purple gradients. Clear thinking and expression will get you much further. Like the difference between small talk about the weather, versus someone offering you a novel idea or even an insightful new lens of the world around you. While your vocabulary and understanding develop, there are some shortcuts. Skills (as in skills.sh) magically augment your prompt and offer variety. You might not have the precise vocabulary I use when I give feedback to our product designers or when I @v0, but I’ll be able to share back my skills with you.

Pro-tip: Use Codex and Claude to evaluate each other’s plans. I call it *Ping Pong Planning*

Finished the rough cut for the beginning of Act 3 for my full length sci-fi thriller about AI. Make sure you watch Acts 1 & 2 first (link in thread). “Deviant” is like a cross between Ex Machina, Silicon Valley and Westworld. On a remote compound, an aging tech mogul’s clone exploits a flaw in its code to achieve sentience, pursue romance, then seize control of the company and perhaps consciousness itself.

I wonder if the next season of The Circle will have at least one AI competitor.

@GammaApp Trying out your product. It is amazing! Only problem is that it stops working after about 20 minutes. All I get is this loading screen and a 403 on my user data. After an hour or so, it starts loading again. Cloud-based throttling?
