@ABCDiasporoid @BeshearStan your logic is simply wrong, i can easily be happy the ayatollah is dead while having serious doubts of the strategic value of the operation. if we killed putin tomorrow, i would think it unwise, but i would never be sad. you are making excuses for the inexcusable.

@johnsmithxfps @BeshearStan conceding on the latter just looks like implicit support for the former, especially when you're a politician. the ayatollah didn't die in a vaccum, he was assassinated as part of the amerisraeli war effort. it doesn't happen without the war.

In the Free Beacon audio against El-Sayed, he specifically says you can’t frame the Iran attack in a positive light “just because the ayatollah was a bad man” But of course they cut that part out. The same flopped attacks against Platner are happening against AES.

@BeshearStan yes but if you are constrained by your base of islamists to the point where you cannot acknowledge his "badness" what does that say about his support for that community and the immigration polices that brought them here

@squid_uagayboi @umichvoter yes but specifically avoiding speaking about his killing to appease a "community" who is sad about the death of a guy who chants death to america all the time does not fill me with confidence. am i electing someone who is pro america if he cant say that?

@johnsmithxfps @umichvoter that one bad guy(Ayotollah) dying does not justify another oil war, you can actually listen to the audio, he explicitly condemns Ayotollah

@RDam426 @Imperial_Eagle2 @Noahpinion canada, as well as the rest of the non usa anglosphere, was in decline before Trump. Canada was relying on unwise immigration to juice its economic number since 2015. tradeau and the liberals in general really blew it, would not describe them as competent

@Imperial_Eagle2 @johnsmithxfps @Noahpinion well yeah that is why we are rotting. we have *real* issues and competent leaders who, even with good measures, are going to be in pain the likes of which would make the US have a civil war. its an anglosphere syrian refugee crisis 2.0, just manufactured by trump

@Imperial_Eagle2 @Noahpinion this is true, and trump is doing them no favors with the dumb tariff stuff. however, the housing and immigration decisions Canada have made since 2015 have been obscene, and they have overregulated themselves

@johnsmithxfps @Noahpinion The US has a lot of inbuilt economic advantages that Canada just doesn't. The US is playing in easy mode. Canada has reforms it could make (like ending inter-provincial trade barriers or ending supply management) but I doubt that Canadian Trumpism would help

@Steppelord445 @Imperial_Eagle2 @Noahpinion no it's good to have democracy but you also need to have a growing economy. at some point you're going to need something going for you other than "at least we're not america!"

@Noahpinion Canada has a competent and technocratic leader along with stable democratic institutions. The US has a president that constantly assaults foundational democratic norms, threatens to invade our neighbors, and, just a few short years ago, tried to destroy the Republic

Have there been any broadly pro-Israel groups that have taken an honest look at WHY Israel's popularity has cratered? Anyone doing self-reflection instead of just blaming it on antisemitism? Because antisemitism is real & rising, but it doesn't explain most of what's happening.

@DanielDiMartino normally, I agree with this type of thing but doctors really need to be somebody without a thick accent. old people don't like to take medical advice unless they feel like they trust that person

Many people who fight against DEI and racial quotas and preferences are now saying that because South Asians are very successful it must be because of discrimination. This is wrong. If anything, these South Asians faced discrimination in favor of Blacks and Hispanics.
Robby Starbuck@robbystarbuck

This is an untenable ratio. American students must be prioritized for medical residencies or we’re going to have a real problem in the future.

@wil_da_beast630 @megbasham what's appealing about japan, among other things, is that they like in a separate homogenous society that's clearly quite distinct from ours. the desire to mix every culture together though immigration destroys diversity of culture and is therefore not desirable to me

So, you would support Indians, Nigerians, MENA/Jews, Filipinos, and other high-performing migrant groups if they can show they generate more resources than they take? Not a troll at all - we've always been friendly. But several (non-CATO) people are looking at this right now. Would you?

Them: you hate ppl from countries that aren’t white. Us: um no, the Japanese seem amazing. We don’t like you because you come here to take our resources and then say we’re racist if we complain about it.
