The US dollar admittedly doesn't meet my ESG requirements, but as a vice and out of practicality (taxes, expenses, etc), I hold some anyway. Sometimes as a speculation I expect it to go up for a period of time, even though its long-term trend is down.

And it might be the recent huge backup in bond yields is sniffing out this collapse in COVID cases and a rapid increase in economic activity. So too energy & other commodities hitting multi-yr highs nearly every day. Surge in prices might not be as "transitory" as Fed hopes.

A year+ ago I was among the 1st warning of the spread of COVID& its potential impact (& I took a lot of grief from the deniers). Now I'm not hearing much from the major media about collapse in cases (around the world). In US, just 63.4K new cases today, down 80% from 5 weeks ago
