This is an important health system wide issue that we all need to work together to fix. Patients all around the motu are waiting unreasonably long times to be seen due to significant overcrowding in EDs - complex patients who need admission, not just “GP patients”

Following media reports on this issue, ACEM would like to clarify that the report into a case at Middlemore hospital in Aotearoa New Zealand was not an ACEM report. It was officially commissioned by @countiesmanukau and conducted anonymously by an experienced FACEM.

@DGlaucomflecken I couldn’t agree more with @ACTINOSProject - it is critical we laugh both with each other and at ourselves, take them for what they are, light hearted satire. I would suggest someone who chose not to train in FM due to these may not have been suited to FM anyway. Keep it up.
