The judges character is called into question here. The easiest and most professional way to handle that situation would have been for the judge to simply say “thank you, have a good day”. That would have diffused the whole situation, and show he was in fact in control of the room. The way he went about it shows a lack of maturity.

The IT guy was acting like a peer. “Ah false alarm” as in there wasn’t a huge problem and it was easy to solve.
A court room doesn’t work like that though. It works under STRICT hierarchy and a judge is NOT anyone’s peer.
In defense of the judge- you can’t let stuff like that slide in your courtroom if you want to maintain the image of you being in total control of the room. Which is his job.
In defense of the IT guy- he didn’t mean anything by it and he successfully fixed the problem.
No huge problem here.
