@zengucapital @hey_itsmyturn There is only one way this war ends, and it ain’t what you’re selling.

Iran told mediators it will limit ship crossings in the Strait of Hormuz to about a dozen per day and charge tolls of $1 million or more per ship under the US-brokered cease-fire, Wall Street Journal reported.
"Only four ships passed Wednesday, the fewest in April, down from over 100 daily before the conflict. Iran requires advance toll arrangements paid in cryptocurrency or Chinese yuan," the report added.
English

@omriceren @zriboua The number of ships that have transited the strait though the normal route is precisely zero.
English

You guys are overthinking this. President Trump outlined four strategic goals and then Hormuz became a fifth. So -
1. Missiles ✅
2. Navy ✅
3. Proxies ☑️. The Houthis mostly kept their heads down and Hezbollah is not covered by the ceasefire. The answer back is that Iraq is still touch and go. The answer to the answer is that Iranian command and control has been degraded. Let's say 65/35 at worst.
4. Hormuz 🤷. That's the point of the ceasefire and what today is about. This is just an integer: the number of ships that transit.
5. Nuclear 🤷. That's the point of negotiations and what the next two weeks are about. This is a binary: either Iran gives up its highly enriched uranium or it doesn't.
English

@stavridisj @SpencerGuard Not a single ship has gone through the normal shipping lanes yet.

All eyes now shift to the Strait of Hormuz, whether or not it truly is open to mariners. Leaving Iran in any kind of control of the Strait is illegal under international law and highly problematic geopolitically.
Three things I am watching as I monitor the cease-fire: One, is the Strait actually open? Two, is there a real follow on negotiation concerning the nuclear material? Three, where are US ground troops, both Marines and paratroopers, headed?

English

@Jerusalem_Post They are set to delay and bullshit, just like always

Explainer: Iran's FM Abbas Araghchi, who will accompany the parliament speaker in US peace talks, has compared the country's negotiating style to the bartering of the bazaar, requiring "patience and great time."

🚨 A fierce internal rift is erupting among Islamic Republic supporters over the ceasefire. Many are openly calling negotiations and a ceasefire “treacherous” and “humiliation,” arguing the regime must confront Israel and the U.S. rather than compromise. This rhetoric frames them as permanent enemies, rejecting any agreement outright. What’s emerging is not unity or “victory,” despite propaganda efforts, but deep division and instability within the regime’s own base.

@Osint613 Lebanon wants Hezbollah out. You all are speaking for them, let them speak for themselves.
English

Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez:
Just today, Netanyahu launches his harshest attack against Lebanon since the offensive began.
His contempt for life and international law is intolerable
It's time to speak clearly:
Lebanon must be included in the ceasefire.
The international community must condemn this new violation of international law.
The European Union must suspend its Association Agreement with Israel.
And there must be no impunity for these criminal acts.

English

@EmmanuelMacron It’s easy, Hezbollah completely disbands and leaves the country. Thats what Israel wants and it’s what Lebanon wants. France wants to sell out the Lebanese to Hezbollah, which is no surprise since they have always sold out the weak.

With Ali Khamenei gone and Mojtaba Khamenei absent from public view, Iran’s regime has not collapsed.
Built to outlast any single leader, the Islamic Republic now relies on a small group of power brokers across its core institutions.
