There have been 10 cases of undocumented immigrants successfully casting ballots over the last 25 years. The SAVE America Act would deny Americans their right to vote by requiring forms of ID most Americans don’t have: 146M Americans do not have a passport. 40M eligible voters do not have access to their birth certificate. 69M women do not have a birth certificate that matches their married name. Enhanced Real IDs are only available in 5 states. The SAVE America Act denies the right to vote for millions of Americans by requiring specific forms of ID that millions of U.S. citizens do not have, and requiring them to effectively pay a poll tax, which is illegal, in order to get those documents to vote. It also gives the federal government the ability to manipulate state voter rolls and purge voters, while adding increased burdens on local election officials. The SAVE America Act is a voter suppression bill. Republicans know that Trump has made them deeply unpopular, so they know they need to cheat to win.

My daughters don't agree with me on bedtime. My constituents don't always agree with me either.  But parenting teaches you that's not always about agreement. It's about showing up anyway, even when it's hard and messy.  I'm not running to be governor of the people in my corner. I'm running for all of Wisconsin — the people who agree with me, the people who don't, and the people still figuring out who I am. As governor, I will always fight for you, for your family, and for our future.
