Surprised how many people don’t think this. Pre-VAR, that third City goal yesterday probably would’ve stood and nobody in the world would have complained

Re: City’s disallowed goal: If Haaland and Szoboszlai commit their fouls simultaneously, the officials would say it’s “six of one, half a dozen of the other” as they do at most set pieces. The goal is effectively disallowed because EH doesn’t foul DS soon enough…

@Smooth_Booth @Jamesy_boy @DaleJohnsonBBC The situation is that the ball is already going into an unguarded goal without EH or DS touching it. The goal is given if they commit their respective fouls simultaneously, so why shouldn’t it be given if the defender gains an unfair advantage by fouling first?

@Jamesy_boy @DaleJohnsonBBC You do realise what your asking for here would have most likely resulted in a corner? Advantage was played DS was about to clear the ball until Haaland fouled him, so it was pulled back for the initial foul on Haaland. This had nothing to do with phases of play.

@nffckez @DjallenDs I think Dias is lucky to get away with it, as was Jesus with his dissent and then high tackle on Foden, and Elliot Anderson with his braindead decision to give the ref a little shove after his booking. The deciding factor for yellows seems to be how the ref feels in the moment.

@elliemolloson It’s actually a step further than that. Rob Jones has sent 2 forest players off for 2 yellow cards the last 2 times he’s reffed us. This needs looking into further.

YES DYCHE. He called out the refereeing for what it is- BIASED. "Man City would have got that decision" Is it a conscious bias? No. It is a fear of the commercial Big 6 and their huge "fan" bases. A fear of "oh no if I send off Dias, I will get so much abuse." Or a fear of the power and money those 6 clubs have. It is killing football.
