Today's fun: A potential plugin customer sent us a vendor due diligence questionnaire asking for our SOC 2 certificate, pen test results, cybersecurity insurance details, business continuity plan, and Regulation S-P compliance status. We refused to complete it and explained that most of the requirements aren't applicable to self-hosted plugins. What do you do in this situation?

Inherited a site that uses Yoast SEO which I hadn't seen the UX for in ages — incredible how bloated and slow it is, plus console.log errors spamming in the block editor The meta box takes up 1250px of height... @TheSEOFramework is still the GOAT

Can I just run a normal command in Claude Code - like.. instead of asking it, I just type the command and it runs it? Or do I always have to have a separate tab open? It'd be nice to just not burn tokens interpreting a command but also keep it in the conversational context.

@jamesckemp Probably additive. Make the label "Add images". But it wouldn't be bad to have the option somehow

When bulk editing products/variations, would you expect the image field to replace all images for each product, or append the new images to the existing set for each product?

@designatwoo Haha fun! One thought about addressing the "intrusiveness". What if you made it like the piñata peeks out from the edge of the screen first and clicking it brings out the full viewport? That makes it an "intentional" interruption kinda

We’ve been exploring a playful piñata Easter egg to celebrate merchants’ 1st, 100th, and 1,000th sales. On those milestone orders, a swinging piñata appears on the order details page, and on hover, the cursor turns into a stick, hinting that there’s more fun to uncover 👀

@jamesckemp @WooCommerce I'm happy to join as well. Ive given a bit of feedback already. Full disclaimer I'm obviously not a store owner but built and maintain a lot of WC sites and clients with their product management. 😁 Unfortunately I can't think of a client that would be willing themselves.. 💩

I'm looking to connect with a small panel of users to join a session where we explore the new variations concepts, as well as the editing/bulk editing experience, in order to gather feedback. If you are a frequent user of variations in @WooCommerce and have feedback to give, please let me know if you'd be willing to join!
James Kemp@jamesckemp

I really like where this prototype for @WooCommerce variations is heading! Here's a 5 mins walkthrough of how it works, with a question for you at the end about global/local attributes. Let me know your thoughts, try the prototype yourself, give feedback via the form. Appreciate it! #radicalspeedmonth

@nerrad Yep that's the one I was thinking of! Sorry I should've found the link myself first to make myself clearer :D That's great to know! I'm very excited about getting our clients onto using Woo MCP and more soon.

I'm not sure what you are asking about, but for now WooCommerce Core will ship with basic abilities. We will likely expand on it in the future, but other more workflow type abilities will surface elsewhere (like developer.woocommerce.com/2026/05/07/woo…). Something else that is being worked on is a skill for implementing abilities in the Woo context that should make it easier for folks to use agents to add more bespoke things for their context (and yes, build on top of what was just released).

Checkout Summit {Reloaded} is a wrap for me personally! And again, even though I was talking to my screen, I felt the closeness of the #WooCommerce community. Because of this, decided to attend WordCamp EU in Krakow also next month 🥳 Who will I see there?

Just experienced how AI Agents can (and should) work in the real world. Needed to cancel and request a refund on a personal @claudeai Pro plan, the @AnthropicAI Fin AI Agent managed the entire process, without hassle, and in seconds. 👏

Great first day about to wrap up on #checkoutsummit {reloaded}. Thank you @rmelogli for making this available to us that couldn't travel to Palermo 🙌 Tiny request for tomorrow: Can you make the embed fullwidth on the page so that the window is a bit bigger by default? 😅

@KatieKeithBarn2 Forget AI. I can spot a phoney roundup that's just a self-promotion a mile away! But then again I'm probably not your average potential customer 😅🙈 To me it's a question of honesty in your brand. If you believe you have the best product, why hide competitors?

When you publish roundups (e.g. "Best WordPress Membership Plugins"), do you think it's a good idea to include your top competitors if they have refused to include your product in their own roundups? I'm receiving conflicting advice about this - some people say it's silly to provide free marketing to your biggest competitors; but others say that including them makes your roundup look more credible to AI's etc.

@jeffr0 My wife's spending habits .. but more realistically I wouldn't be able to meaningfully contribute in all those ways while keeping a full time job, house and two kids. Kudos to those that do.

@designatwoo @Janahabanana Aaaand if I may add a 4th that's mostly technical it would be having a clear "email log" that shows all emails that's gone out for the order.

Hi! I'm @Janahabanana , product designer on WooCommerce. Working on the Order detail page right now and want to hear from the people who actually use it. What are the top 3 things you'd change about it? Reply below, or drop it in the form: forms.gle/AfJSHqGzmayAnk…

@designatwoo @Janahabanana Help guide the Shop owners order status transitions by showing them in a more "flow" visual state than as just a drop-down. We still need the ability to set any status, but we can also make some assumptions that normally after processing it goes to completed/refund.
