But I absolutely love Hell or High Water and Wind River, his directorial debut I believe.
Those Who Wish Me Dead was a clear step down though.

Ed Harris says he felt “misled” about his “inconsequential” role on “Dutton Ranch,” and that halfway through filming Season 1, he was telling his team to “get me the f--- out of here.” “Prior to signing on for it, I was talked to quite a bit about what the season was, and what my character was going to do — and that I was one of the four main characters,” Harris said. “And that wasn’t really the case... That being said, I don't think it's a coincidence that his best movies can basically be ranked by director. ("Sicario" is a really good movie. But its script?)

Oh boy. @TheEconomist has a piece in this week’s edition critiquing the State AG’s case to block the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. The first critique is that the relevant markets asserted in the complaint are “legacy” markets (e.g., wide-release films, licensing of basic cable channels), whereas the real competition occurs in a broader market that includes streamers. It reminds me of the critique that “nascent” markets cannot be relevant antitrust markets. Apparently, the only markets worthy of antitrust scrutiny are somewhere between seven and fifteen years old—anything older or younger is strictly off limits! 1/2
