@ejames_c But it also works in reverse for problematic employers / orgs - seems weird to me to only apply the judgment to only one side of a relationship.

@andywaterman Oh and out to St Martha’s from Guildford along the NDW is a decent shout too.

@andywaterman Leith Hill from Holmwood (can the head to Dorking if you’re ambitious) or up onto the South Downs out of Hassocks.

@hannahkaty To really live in London is to know the area you live in like the back of your hand and treat the other 3 quarters of the map like a foreign country.

@kleto @onejasonknight I did a similar style of role where it was a lot about cohesion across Product teams and their respective leaders. I can see that evolving into CPO as you’re taking that meta view already.

@onejasonknight I’ve just worked with an org where the chief of staff to the product org became the cpo! At first caught me completely off guard but then… if the chief of staff really does spend so much time with the cpo, might it be a natural evolution? Still thinking that one through …

@onejasonknight If I’m being generous, it’s some sort of Delivery role. If I’m not being generous it’s the person getting blamed when things don’t coordinate across all the things they don’t control. (Including hiring and retaining UI/UX who will definitely hate working like that).

@EricaJoy My Scandinavian friend had a similar reaction to the Smörgåstårta. We appropriate cultures very badly it seems. Sorry.

@SamLStandsUp Red cards (even if harsh) seem more clearly and obviously related to foul play in football. I find it far harder as a layman to understand a what constitutes a red in rugby as it’s often more technical.

Very interesting that Fulham v Newcastle featured an earlier red card, and the team who conceded it then took a proper beating. But, after some searching, I can't find any posts from fans wanting the red card rule changing though....

@rachelcoldicutt Whole series is so so good. I’d heard so little about it I thought is was one of those undiscovered gems - until it did so well at the Emmy’s 😅

@thisisgrace I wonder how much of it is to do with the measuring of ROI - certainly from a media performance point of view. It’s very east to get addicted to we did X and we got £Y - and so broader challenges get missed.

@rich_mitch I don’t get his “homogenisation is everywhere thing” - it’s just that style and taste have changed (i.e. red phone boxes were quite literally homogenous!) Things diverge and converge and trends move and change over time.

@thepursuinglife Oh and if you save the lists, you soon find you have one for a similar trip you can go back to.

@thepursuinglife Packing lists are transformative. Gives you somewhere to put the 3-weeks-out stress (pop it on the list), sets expectations (“this is what I’m taking”) and then the pack itself can just be methodical.

2. Raise the floor, not just the ceiling. Most of performance is about how we perform on our average days, not about how we perform on our best days. When you raise the floor, you set a new standard. That no matter how you feel, you can show up.

@smorgasbord Honestly I don’t like them as app icons. They feel fussy, unnecessary and unclear.

Nice as they are, I just don’t think the BBC menu needed these new identity icons. Feels a bit busy and like they forgot to do the childrens’ channels and Food.

@thepursuinglife There’s a definite benefit to training plans in Excel/Sheets - you can look like you’re working.
