I’ve been blocked by so many Anti-AI people simply for trying to have a friendly discussion about art. They must realize their ideas are indefensible, because they quickly resort to name calling. Show me one artist who gained notoriety by gatekeeping the definition of art.

Ah, the whole "I knew all along" cope. Why can't you just admit you were wrong and this might in fact change a lot of fundamentally flaud principles you may have had? Is it the embarrassment? Is it that thousands and thousands of people liek me, who've never heard of you, now see just how embarressingly wrong you were? I'm seriously getting so much second-hand embarrassement by reading these replies.

Real art critique got mixed in with the anti-ai anger and i am mad bc i care about art The “ai” painting is actually inferior! There’s something off about it bc Monet literally had vision problems when painting this Yes the point was we shouldn’t be dismissive of art by its origin but we’re still allowed to critique art just for what it is

@jongomm @SHL0MS i basically said the same thing read a comment that monet had cataracts when he painted this so i did the blur ur eyes trick suggested by another comment the reflection immediately looked more like a reflection, and the lily's popped a lot more, kinda wild actually

@iandcosmos @dioscuri In a sense, AI art is the purest form of art. It's an amalgamation of the collective human unconscious with no intentionality behind it - just pure subjectivity open for interpretation of its observer. The fact that AI art evokes such strong emotions is proof.

@dioscuri Yes, but why Ask why they downgrade it (or in fact entirely disregard it), and if the reasons are in fact valid Ask what art is, what art is for, and why people make it And ask if AI can replace that. And if not, then how it feels to have AI try to replace it
