Would you like to see the extension of Sunday trading hours? About eight out of 10 people in Belfast are in favour. bbc.in/4395j6t

Today I met with King Charles at Hillsborough. I welcomed his continued efforts to promote positive relationships between our islands, and people of Irish and British traditions here. This included hosting Uachtarán na hÉireann Catherine Connolly yesterday, and attending a Fleadh Cheoil event today, recognising and celebrating the vibrancy of Irish culture and language. We all come from different lived experiences and perspectives, but that should never be a barrier to showing respect for each other’s views and identities. As your First Minister, I am committed to building a society rooted in respect and equality for every person. I will continue to do all I can to break down barriers and ensure our young people grow up in a better world than many of us did.

I see Tourism NI are encouraging the use of “the North” instead of Northern Ireland in some circumstances. As a publicly funded body, it should remain impartial and avoid alternative political terminology. The politicisation of publicly funded bodies is becoming increasingly blatant and unacceptable. This is Northern Ireland, and there should be no issue saying it proudly.
