I went viral because I was honest. My post spoke the truth, and truth cuts deep. I addressed the elephant in the room, admitting AI designs better than I do. And I’m grateful that it does so. 2K likes suggest I’m not the only one. Many developers know AI writes better code, strategists know it thinks better, and copywriters know it writes better. It’s not the majority view yet, but the trajectory is clear. The replies were funny, though. They included denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance. When a computer defeated Kasparov in chess in 1997, people had similar reactions. I chose to quantum-leap into acceptance. I’m not willing to deny the quality of AI’s work or try to compete with machines at something they’re great at. Time to move on!

Prediction time! (or maybe it's a wishlist 😄) I think today #figma will announce 1. Rework to be html/css native 2. Proprietary AI model made for design and code handoff 3. Expansion of design tooling for canvas design 4. Improvements between prompt/canvas/code loop. Let's see how it goes. #config2026
