@joshi My thinking was that since both Mahmood & sister's applications were made on 19 April that must have been a couple days before the deadline. This year the deadline was 21 April for a 7 May election, so you're probably right that they missed the 2003 one.

@jonoland11 Yeah, I found that puzzling. It’s not dated but it just surely be from 2004, when the ballot papers would have been created. It’s 20 years ago so perhaps she’s forgotten when she signed these docs.

If you decide to sign two critical election forms this differently, you ideally do not want them blown up on page 2 of the Daily Mail.

@joshi Ta for your reply Joshi. Do you know what year the florid signature is from? The Home Office spokesperson implies it was from April/May 2003 (when Mahmood was 22). Top work, btw.

@jonoland11 They applied for their postal votes in 2003, but they ticked the box to keep them for future elections. Unclear if they postal voted in 2003 because polling day was 1 May so I think they missed that deadline.

British people have spent 29 years destroying Britain. If you ever voted New Labour, or voted Conservative after 2010, then you are to blame. Britain deserves Big Ange as Chav Minister. Big Ange is the Yookay.

@timtron2020 Not me. I don't have the time or patience for things like that. Anyways it looks like City Assays is the trading name for the Birmingham toxicology lab when it does private work (just looked it up). Goodnight.

This from the Ch4 Salisbury programme is the best CCTV I've seen of Sergei and Yulia #Skripal approaching and sitting on the bench where they were found. At this point we are asked to believe a deadly nerve agent has been working its way into their systems for a couple of hours.

@timtron2020 May I ask how you know about this 'City Assays'? It may just have been a company contracted by the NHS, as happens often these days. May I also ask what you think is the most absurd detail? That MI6 would try to kill people? My sweet, summer child.

@jonoland11 City Assays was the lab that did the analysis. They're all part of Birmingham City hospital. We can quibble over this if you like. It's hardly the most absurd detail in that speculative account of what happened that appeared the comments on Murray's blog.

@timtron2020 Jukes didn't misspeak. It was a written statement produced in consultation with his lawyers, not an oral deposition. The advice service - also based in Birmingham City hospital - is called the National Poisons Information Service.

@jonoland11 Then Jukes mis-spoke. The samples were sent to the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust laboratory, a diagnostic pathology service. The National Poisons Centre is a clinical toxicology advice service. Understandable because they are both at Birmingham City Hospital.

@jonoland11 I've seen this before. It's not convincing in the least. "Before she died, samples of her blood [were] analysed by the National Poisons Centre in Birmingham..." 🤣 x.com/timtron2020/st…
Twiki 🍉 🚜 🐙@timtron2020

@jonoland11 @grok @outsider63 @Glenn_Diesen @HarveyWall8angR There are plenty of mistakes. For starters, the National Poisons Centre in Birmingham didn't analyse Dawn's blood and find "active acetylcholinesterase less than 5% of what would typically be expected" because the National Poisons Centre in Birmingham doesn't analyse samples.

@FischerKing64 Whether they're fucking like rabbits or not, poor urban whites (like blacks & Asians) aren't having many children. As things stand, America belongs to Hasidic Jews, fundamentalist Mormons and the Amish.

@tjmttn @Not_so_Ernest @tatereeves @instapundit It essentially is. The only ways for property owners to avoid it is to rent their property out and lose the right to use them, or have them declared unfit for human habitation.

@StephenFleming You obviously know nothing about nuclear enrichment or building deliverable nuclear warheads. It took 2 years to enrich enough U235 for FatMan.

If you have enriched uranium, you can make a Hiroshima-scale “gun-type” nuclear weapon in a decent machine shop in a weekend. (Note that the USA didn’t even bother to test the “Little Boy” design… we KNEW it would work. Trinity was all about the “Fat Man” implosion design, which is more complex.) So trying to draw a line between “allowing enrichment” and “allowing a nuclear weapon” is just meaningless yammering. It doesn’t relate to the real world.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

It appears that the zero enrichment poison pill killed the Islamabad negotiations yesterday. We have 9 more days in this cease fire to fix this, but we must pursue our goals not Israel's. Trump's redline has always been no nuclear weapons for Iran, not zero enrichment. Iran agrees with this and has not sought to develop or obtain a nuke since 2003 but needs to retain the ability to enrich for their "not Saddam but not Qaddafi" policy to work. This makes negotiations between the U.S. & Iran workable as the dispute is on levels of enrichment and monitoring. This is a threat to Israel getting us to do the heavy lifting in the regime change/decapitation war they want. Israel needs us chasing every trace of uranium in Iran because that ensures we stay engaged militarily in Iran, because how do we ever fully make sure Iran can't enrich without taking out the regime? This is the recipe for an endless bloody war or supporting/turning a blind eye to Israel using a WMD on Iran. Restrain Israel, get a deal, open the SOH, focus on saving our Republic, not playing empire.

@Azazel9996 @ElectionMapsUK Despite their previous councillor being jailed, Reform only lost around 150 votes from 2025. Nearly half of the Greens vote will have been people who didn't vote last time around - the Polanski effect.

@purplecushionon @thomasknox @kevinf567 1997-2013. Since been revised up to 1700. Jayne Senior reckons the true figure is more than 2000 - about 15% of all girls in Rotherham who were aged 11-16 in those years. Still staggers me.

@thomasknox @kevinf567 Is the 1,400 for Rotherham for the full 40-50 year period? Also consider that there are no stats for London and London population is 30x that of Rotherham

Put it another way: a country which allows 100,000+ of its underage girls to be raped by gangs of migrant origin cannot possibly be seen as a “quiet multicultural success story”. It just cannot. It is a catastrophe

Politicians are reaching for the cross But the distinctive story of faith in Britain isn't culture wars, but the rejection of them. We see iftars in cathedrals, Jews and Muslims signing accords - and a civic identity that holds. My column:- times-comment.com/abraham

I’m not sure most people realise that Douglas Murray’s only formal qualification is a third class bachelors degree in English Literature. By his own standards he isn’t qualified to talk about foreign policy, immigration, or Islam - all of which he’s built his career on.

Putting together the English local election forecast. Scotland and Wales done. I have to say, and not to give a sneak peak, but to affirm what's been written elsewhere: this May is going to be absolutely terrible for the Tories. But a total bloodbath for Labour.
