How ironic that, in an attempt to be relatable, Mr McFadden admits that the restaurant where he was a dishwasher has “shut quite recently”. Labour is wilfully destroying hospo. This latest initiative is complete nonsense. How disappointing to see Tom Kerridge anywhere near this.

For many independent pubs, this could be their last St Patricks Day celebration. They are now facing a £169 million extra energy bill. That combined with the N.I and Business Rates increase, means the writings on the wall. I urge the Gov't to intervene, before it's too late.

@MartinSLewis He talks about supporting working people then says it's to help vulnerable people. Not on benefits we have seen a 70% rise in heating oil, so are we now vulnerable or just working people who can fend for ourselves?

The PM listed 5 things they'll do to "protect the cost of living". Most just reiteratedexisting situation, the new thing, as expected was £53m to help vulnerable with home heating oil costs. We'll starting digging into that ASAP. Will update here when I know more.
