@ChimeraGenetics interesting, so what is "curing" in your opinion? also you dont have to answer the question, its really the question I keep asking, but can't seem to find a satisfying answer anywhere

I think the window for post-harvest enzyme activity is rather small; proteins do degrade & once water content is low, biologically driven processes tend to come to an end I'm of the opinion that fresh cannabis is almost always best; there are some cases where VOC content needs to wane a little for a smooth experience when combusted (certain high terpinolene vars, for eg), but in most cases i personally feel that the fresher then better, given a dry flower.

@ChimeraGenetics im not sure im qualified to answer your question Ryan, im curious what you think. the debate around weather or not E-beaming is neutral or bad on cannabis has centred on cannabinoids and terpenes. but if curing is a enzyme reliant process does E-beaming disrupt that?

@jorg1scott Which chlorophyll & starch derived alkaloids (?) & VOCs in the flower specifically would you suggest impact scent / quality perception ?Enzymes are proteins - the degree to which proteins remain active is afaik speculative - are you suggesting metabolic profile Isn’t sufficient?

using potency as the only measure of quality is subjective. smoothness of smoke and a strong nose and flavour are objective measures of quality that could be affected by killing off the little engines of curing, "enzymes".

Does E-beaming kill enzymes, and if so what how does that effect flavour and smoke?

@GoBlueCdn it was ultimately too tall for my rooms but a legend. fun fact. in 2003 at the firehouse grill in Nanaimo all the sushi chefs were smoking the fighting buddha and they named one of their favourite rolls after it. the fighting buddha remains their best selling roll 20 years later

A reminder for the Cdn growers… Canada Post free parcel Tuesday each Tuesday in October. Another good thing about the flip… fully cured flower to share by October.

@420investing @Medibaker @woodynelson420 The glade runner has the highest % of terps of the 3 cultivars we grow but is farnesene dominant which isn’t a super pungent terp. I find glade runner to be strong and calming. Thanks for giving our gear a shot. This latest drop is the quality baseline we hope to build from

@Medibaker @woodynelson420 Ok thought so. Will 100% be trying this one as they knocked it out of the park with rainbow driver @jorg1scott. Still gotta crack glade runner. Maybe tomorrow

Rainbow Driver by @woodynelson420. Has a nice nose. Not the strongest but strong enough. Nice looking buds too. That sweet candy nose transfers to the spliff. Burned nice w/ 🧂 and pepper ash. Tastes great on the vape with strong and long lasting vapour production. Nice high.

price and quality should always match. sometimes the genetic isn't as fire as you want it to be or the grow isn't performing as it should. its all good, as long as the prices matches the quality. your customers will reward you if your honest. play the long game

Today's Cultivar: Triple Mint Trainwreck by @SmokerFarms n @BCBlackCannabis Crack the seal, no punch, no loud, buds feel shaved and dry-ish. Grind opens some soft PVC notes Vape is clean, thin and minted Doesn't pass the Loudness test and I'd be hard pressed to recco at this $

@420investing @_herbaldispatch the burn is going to depend primarily on how the biomass was handled in post prod. the oils are less dependent on some of those same elements of the dry/cure/storage. that would account for the difference

Funny how some weed can be so outstanding on the vape but kind of burn like shit 🤔 Example number 1: velvet glove from high quadz. Super strong nose. Burns awful but vapes amazing. Go figure. Overall enjoying this one from @_herbaldispatch. Definitely a poor burn tho

@ColeCannabiss @eaoliver @Whowaa @ApogeeInst that genetic in particular (Sunset sherbet X high octane OG) does that. we're actually leaving a cpl plants in the next batch completely unpruned just to see what happens

@eaoliver @Whowaa @ColeCannabiss @ApogeeInst ha I didn't even notice, I love the rabbit holes almost as much as I love the weed. but thanks, obviously it took an entire company of people putting in long hours to make it happen. its gratifying to see the hard work and passion yield results we can feel good about😉

@That_BelgianGuy the LED's are cooler than HID so our HVAC system can keep the environments (temp,RH) in the ideal window for our plants even when we turn the lights up to 11. turning the lights up without a crazy heat load is the difference maker IMO. also the rainbow is an amazing genetic
