I honestly find this pricing model discouraging. At these prices, many teams will simply default to React Native instead. I don’t quite understand why NativePHP itself isn’t free, with Bifrost offered as a paid service. Bifrost as a deployment and distribution platform makes sense as a paid product it’s a real service with real infrastructure costs and that part feels fair. In the age of AI, the language choice (PHP vs TypeScript) is no longer the main limitation if you understand software engineering fundamentals. What matters more is ecosystem accessibility and developer adoption. For my current project, I now genuinely have to reconsider using Laravel at all, since the app also needs to ship on mobile. With React + React Native being fully open and free, the decision becomes very hard to justify. I’m struggling to understand this decision in 2025, especially when the goal should be wider adoption of the PHP ecosystem. @nativephp @laravelphp
