It doesn't look like there is actually a hard drop at 4.
If several of your posts are eligible for the same viewer in the same feed-ranking batch, later posts from you can get multiplied down. In the older public defaults, the 2nd same-author post was ~62.5%, the 3rd ~43.8%, the 4th ~34.4%, and the 5th ~29.7%.
That way one person doesn't dominate your feed.
Good rule: don’t dump similar posts back-to-back. Space them out. Give important posts room. 2–4 strong posts/day is safer for reach per post, but 5+ can still work if they are distinct.
