HOWEVER: this falls apart for any genre that requires busy cities. Elder scrolls and fallout can get away with tiny cities due to their genre. Starfield cannot. This is why I believe the Beth approach is limited by genre and vibe. The moment you leave the bubble it falls apart.

For other games it's great to have a busy city. It's fine to spawn in duplicate NPCs walking the streets of cyberpunk, even though they despawn the moment you look away. They are different games where individual NPCs don't matter.

dishonored combined the best parts of bioshock and hitman, resulting in a creatively flexible game with an incredible art direction, extensive lore, whalepunk tech, and memorable characters/targets i’d love love love to see arkane take another stab at the series 🐀

Okay so ngl this is kinda bad i think. So when i'm making a game i always make things modular and for that reason i use ScriptableObjects in unity too much it kinda makes things go easy but i have literally hunderds of scriptable objects right now i think it's getting messier by every day at least for my eye #unity3d #gamedev

Current status of menu controller support refactor. This is a huge project, and has taken over my life. I hope to have a testable beta within a month so players can play with it.

I was originally going to still involve requirement of using a virtual mouse with the controller joystick for some UI elements, but this seems to be not entirely supported by both Unity's input system and rewired - the former seems to be buggy, and the latter is a software mouse.

This is clearly why devs design UI around controller, not keyboard - controller is fundamentally limited in unique ways that make it pretty hard to design around menus originally built with the flexibility of keyboards in mind~

Starting work on controller support, and oh boy do I not enjoy controllers. Such a limited number of buttons - I'm managing to squeeze pretty much all features into supporting controller, but I'm not sure how to support everything, it will never be perfect I think...
