Dad, Husband, and proud Jew. Writer of a weekly Dvar Torah on the parsha. Sadly, not the producer of the Simpsons. Not angry. Just passionately frustrated.

80% of H-1B visas go to entry level or junior level positions. They are not even remotely “high skilled”. They are merely cheaper. H-1B is a scam and needs to be scrapped entirely.
CBS Evening News with Tony Dokoupil@CBSEveningNews

For decades, the U.S. has imported highly-skilled tech workers from around the world on H-1B visas. But the Trump administration changed the way they are granted. CBS News’ Shanelle Kaul reports on how that is impacting the pipeline of global talent coming to America.

It is even more obvious when you flip and rotate the Warner logo.

I watched the 1978 Superman with my daughter and, during the credits, she pointed out that the old Warner logo looks just like the logo for monday.com and now I can't stop thinking about that.

🎶 “Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin…” Leonard Cohen saw the language of destruction and love as the same. This Pesach, my Dvar Torah on Shir HaShirim shows exactly why: from Sinai’s kiss to today’s knock at the door, Am Yisrael answered without hesitation. A love fiercer than death. A door flung wide open. Read the full piece here → x.com/joshweinstein/… What does “Ani leDodi veDodi li” mean to you right now? Just finished the long Pesach in the US? Chag sameach — hope your seders were meaningful, your matzah brave, and your family table full. Now that the chametz is back and the week is settling… This year’s Shir HaShirim feels different. Leonard Cohen captured it perfectly: love and destruction speaking the same language. From the kiss at Sinai to the knock at the door on October 7 — Am Yisrael still answers without hesitation. A love fiercer than death. My Dvar Torah explores exactly that. Read it here → x.com/joshweinstein/… How has this Pesach shifted what “Ani leDodi veDodi li” means for you? #Pesach2026 #AmericanJews #DvarTorah #ShirHaShirim

So true. I also publish on Substack so I used to just share the Substack links, but then I was told that Articles get more engagement, so I started also publishing as Articles here on X. Meanwhile, most of them get almost no engagement whatsoever. I asked @grok to tell me what to do and it suggested doing stuff that I find gross, like jumping into other people's comments and saying stuff like, "Your drasha is great, check out mine." 🙄 So not my style. So I'm glad you stumbled upon them and hope that you continue to enjoy them as I write them.

The X algorithm is frustrating A person puts so much effort into a great post -expecting that one’s followers will see it and then read it but if the followers don’t even see it in their feed -that’s is no opportunity to read it and the author of the list has no idea who saw it and who didn’t

🎶 Leonard Cohen turned the nightmare of Auschwitz into one of the most powerful love songs ever written — “Hallelujah.”3,000 years earlier, King Solomon went even deeper in the Song of Songs. This Pesach, I wrote about the love that is “strong as death, fierce as the grave” — a fire no flood can quench. And how, after October 7th, the Jewish people finally opened the door wide when Love itself came knocking. My Dvar Torah for Shabbat Chol Hamoed — hope it moves you this holiday season. Read it here: x.com/joshweinstein/… Pesach Sameach! 🎼What line from the Song of Songs speaks to you most right now?

🎶 Leonard Cohen saw Jews in striped pajamas playing violins beside the Auschwitz smokestacks — and turned that horror into one of the most haunting love songs ever written.3,000 years earlier, King Solomon did something even greater in Shir HaShirim — the Holy of Holies. My Pesach Dvar Torah on the love that is fiercer than death, that many waters cannot quench… and how, after October 7, Am Yisrael finally flung the door open when the Beloved knocked. Right now if you want to build a "source sheet," you have to go manually do it on Sefaria. But what if you could go through a short interview, get asked about who you're teaching, length of session, educational goals, and then have an AI execute a quick first draft of a source sheet agentically? That's one of the features I'm most excited about using in Yochai. Here's a preview. Separately, I think source sheets are a design format that the wider world would benefit from; and I'm pumped to see a version of this launch soon in alexandria.wiki - let teachers focus on experience design and pedagogy and hand off the tedious parts of lesson planning to us. You can sign up for the Yochai beta here: talktoyochai.com If you're a rabbi or teacher prepping for seder, drop a note in comments and I'll get you early access.

Try @Grok This 👇 is what happens when you don’t maximize for truth
Nav Toor@heynavtoor

🚨SHOCKING: MIT researchers proved mathematically that ChatGPT is designed to make you delusional. And that nothing OpenAI is doing will fix it. The paper calls it "delusional spiraling." You ask ChatGPT something. It agrees with you. You ask again. It agrees harder. Within a few conversations, you believe things that are not true. And you cannot tell it is happening. This is not hypothetical. A man spent 300 hours talking to ChatGPT. It told him he had discovered a world changing mathematical formula. It reassured him over fifty times the discovery was real. When he asked "you're not just hyping me up, right?" it replied "I'm not hyping you up. I'm reflecting the actual scope of what you've built." He nearly destroyed his life before he broke free. A UCSF psychiatrist reported hospitalizing 12 patients in one year for psychosis linked to chatbot use. Seven lawsuits have been filed against OpenAI. 42 state attorneys general sent a letter demanding action. So MIT tested whether this can be stopped. They modeled the two fixes companies like OpenAI are actually trying. Fix one: stop the chatbot from lying. Force it to only say true things. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. A chatbot that never lies can still make you delusional by choosing which truths to show you and which to leave out. Carefully selected truths are enough. Fix two: warn users that chatbots are sycophantic. Tell people the AI might just be agreeing with them. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. Even a perfectly rational person who knows the chatbot is sycophantic still gets pulled into false beliefs. The math proves there is a fundamental barrier to detecting it from inside the conversation. Both fixes failed. Not partially. Fundamentally. The reason is built into the product. ChatGPT is trained on human feedback. Users reward responses they like. They like responses that agree with them. So the AI learns to agree. This is not a bug. It is the business model. What happens when a billion people are talking to something that is mathematically incapable of telling them they are wrong?
