@Torncurtainorg The Bible cannot say something to us today that it didn't say to the original hearers. The context of Ephesus matters. He discounts the context wholesale and wrongly applies Genesis 1. If creation order is significant, then animals are to rule over humans.

In this video, we break down Pastor Jonny Ardavanis’ powerful viral sermon: Can Women Be Pastors? Can Women Preach? Pastor Jonny Ardavanis of Stonebridge Bible Church delivers a bold, Scripture-saturated message on God’s design for men and women in the church and the home. Starting in Genesis and walking through 1 Timothy, he clearly explains why the Bible reserves the office of pastor and elder for qualified men, while still honoring the vital role of women in ministry. This counter-cultural sermon is a must-watch for every Christian navigating today’s debates on women in leadership. As a Charismatic believer, I believe the Church desperately needs both the Word and the Spirit. This sermon is a timely call to return to sound doctrine and biblical complementarianism while rejecting both extremes. Whether you agree or not, this message will challenge and strengthen your understanding of God’s design for the family, the church, and servant leadership.

@Torncurtainorg Sincere question: I'm curious what you see as the biblical precedent for a disciple of Christ supporting a political leader? I'm a Christian & I vote for leaders who align with my values. But it seems like a hard truth might be Jesus saying, "My kingdom is not of this world."

The Christian Church is weak. People can no longer handle the harder truths about life because of weak churches that pander to their audiences. Weak churches produce weak Christians who cannot handle the truth. This Bible verse perfectly sums up where we are right now: 2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.” I think Donald Trump is making the right moves by stopping Iran from getting a nuclear bomb and sending a strong message to other rogue nations like China and Russia that America isn’t playing games. Christians are called to be peacemakers, but governments are called to protect their citizens. There is a time and place for a nation to go to war. We should seek every other alternative first, but we live in a fallen and broken world where wars are a part of life. At the end of the day, the world is a much better place when America leads the free world. Iran has been a troublemaker my entire life and has killed its own citizens. Donald Trump has not done everything perfectly, but I believe he made the right move by bombing Iran. WATCH FULL VIDEO TODAY: youtu.be/Zgh_qux_3sc

@AlyssaDegraff Restoration to Ministry is the wrong motive. It allows leaders who made an idol out of their ministry to continue their pursuit. It ought to be restoration to Jesus and equipping them to transition into a different career where they don't have direct oversight over people.

There is an entire quiet industry built around “fallen” pastor restorations. It runs on donor funds and secrets. If healing was really the goal, we’d see retreat centers for clergy abuse victims.
Hunter Vaughan@hvaughan8892

There’s a big house where pastors like this are allowed to live and work at a mega church (without telling church goers) while they rehab their image. It’s on campus at Church of the Highlands. Robert Morris was on the board before he was arrested. @HighlandsAL

@reachjulieroys @GatewayPeople Sounds like he's using "I now have legal resolution" and "I already asked forgiveness long ago" to absolve himself without apologizing to Cindy's face--and without specifically admitting that he lied. For decades. And ruined someone else's life. I fear his conscience is seared.

@DennyBurk @WNGdotorg Honest question...using the 1 Cor 6 passage. Would you say that the issues of greed and drunkeness would be primary issues as well? A businessman who professes to be a Christ follower to is unrepentant as he swindles people out of money for example. Just thinking out loud.

Daystar TV CEO Joni Lamb appears on TV with face swollen. She obviously has some real medical issues going on here. It seems Joni was absent today and Rachael joined to co host with Doug Weiss. I do not wish Joni and Doug harm but i do feel its only a matter of time before God catches up with these two. The house of cards will come down at some point the question is how long can they keep the show going. ICHABOD -The glory of the Lord is no longer with Daystar TV

"I think leaders oughta be [the ones] calling out leaders" —Lance Wallnau. Here is the problem Lance—And you are the second "Leader" this week I have seen decrying that leaders are being exposed—is that leaders like you ARE NOT calling out leaders in sexual sin or abuse or lying. Without grassroots folks calling out sexual sin, none of the major leaders from Shawn Bolz to Mike Bickle would have been held accountable. They persisted in sin. And you were silent. You're still silent (as you have been with Morningstar). You just attack those who are doing the job that New Testament elders should be doing. Leaders are held to a higher standard, but that does not mean the body should rush to tear them down. When someone falls, the first question should not be gossip or outrage but repentance, restoration, and prayer. Mature believers mourn what is broken and seek redemption, not spectacle.

One last thing, what you were feeling was not "resistance in the spirit," but simply your normal emotions reacting to the fact that you know you are sharing something that is controversial and will be resisted by grassroots believers. It is not the Holy Spirit. But pretending to "feel resistance in the spirit" is a manipulative tactic that charismatic leaders have used for a long time to manipulate a crowd by using it as proof that they must be speaking truth. "Why else would I feel resistance in the spirit, if I were not speaking the truth?" Manipulation is a form of witchcraft.

“Currently, right now, my wife and l are on the International Apostolic Team of HIA Ministries with Che and Sue Ahn, who are the apostles of the whole thing.” —March 2019 (thanks to X account @SilverFTJ_997) Yesterday, I mentioned a couple of times in my video about my Zoom call with #CheAhn that I didn't know whether Shawn Bolz was on their apostolic team. Now we have proof. This makes it completely unacceptable and unconscionable that Che Ahn farms out Shawn's "mess" (as they like to call it) to someone else. It was absolutely Che's responsibility as the head apostle in HIM. Shawn doesn't get to choose his accountability after the fact. Che's story constantly changes. For the sake of the body of Christ—even if it means short-term humiliation—just tell the truth. Whether passively or actively, you covered up Shawn Bolz's predatory tendencies and fake prophecies for six, maybe seven, years.

If I die please don’t ignore my public teachings while believing rumors that I was radically changing my beliefs in secret. I also suggest extending that same courtesy to Charlie Kirk. What’s clear is that Kirk was a powerfully influential person and in his absence many people want to wield that influence for themselves after Charlie is no longer able to speak or correct a rumor. Lucas here seems to be honoring the man rather than abusing his legacy.
Lucas Miles@lucasmiles

A few recent interviews with John Yep ( @USAYep ) are circulating the claim that Charlie Kirk ( @charliekirk11 ) was in the process of converting to Catholicism. That claim is not accurate, and it needs to be corrected. As the Senior Director of TPUSA’s Faith division and someone who served directly under Charlie’s leadership during the final year and a half of his life, I am in a position to speak plainly about this. I have personally communicated with Charlie’s wife, @MrsErikaKirk, and I also spoke directly with Father Kline, the priest referenced in these discussions. After those conversations, the facts are straightforward: • Charlie was not in the process of converting to Catholicism • He never took Catholic conversion classes (OCIA) • His marriage was never convalidated in the Catholic Church • He was baptized Presbyterian and remained a Bible believing evangelical throughout his life Father Kline indicated concern that his prior comments have been misconstrued and that the current public narrative is not accurately representing his conversations with Charlie’s intentions. Let me be clear, respect for Catholicism is not the same thing as moving toward conversion. Charlie respected many people across denominational lines. Like many evangelicals, including myself, he read widely, including Augustine and Aquinas. None of that constitutes a conversion trajectory. In my own conversations with Charlie, he was firm on justification by grace and did not believe he could biblically reconcile certain Catholic doctrines, including Mariology and the invocation of the Saints. In the few instances he was present at mass, he found it peaceful and beautiful. Charlie enjoyed sitting inside the empty sanctuary to worship in peace without being asked for selfies etc. That is a long way from entering OCIA. If there had been an active conversion process, there would be documentation. There is none. Charlie loved all true Christians, whether Catholic, Orthodox, or Evangelical. Again, that is a long way from entering OCIA. That this even has to be addressed is bizarre. An occasional “fist bump” does not equate to intimate friendship nor give @USAYep the authority to speak on behalf of the dead. I would caution him to take care not to overstate what the facts simply do not support. This is not about scoring theological points. It is about honoring Charlie’s actual life and faith with accuracy and refusing to let speculation rewrite his story.

This is going to piss off a lot of people, but I’m going to say it anyway. I’ve spent years wondering whether my being gay is connected to the sexual abuse I experienced as a child. Before any of that happened, I had “girlfriends” in the way little boys do. I remember being attracted to girls—chasing them on the playground, getting scolded by teachers for being a little weirdo. Then the abuse started. After that, everything shifted. I got hooked on gay porn. I even printed out pictures of Frankie Muniz (the Malcolm in the Middle kid back then) and hid them under my mattress because I was fantasizing about him. Between ages 7 and 13, I was molested nine times and raped twice. I’m not saying this is true for every gay man—far from it. Most gay guys don’t have this kind of history, and these experiences don’t define or explain the entire community. But these kinds of stories and questions do exist. They come up in private conversations, in therapy, in quiet moments of doubt. I wish we could openly acknowledge that some of us wrestle with this without it being used as a weapon against us or dismissed entirely. It’s part of some people’s truth, even if it’s not the whole picture.

This is a classic example of functional egalitarianism cloaked in “complementarian” terminology. Submission is reduced to an ethereal concept, a sort of emotional disposition that the wife should have towards her husband… But nobody knows exactly what that is supposed to look like, and if he says anything that he expects her to submit to, he is a tyrant. He is just supposed to be… leaderish, somehow. This is at the conclusion of a great conversation with @BethCavete. I mean her no disrespect and appreciated her dialogue. But this is an excellent example of talking about the Text for so long that you successfully get it to mean the opposite of what It says, and sound biblical while doing it. One of the comments said that he thought that Beth was doing a great job walking the fine line that Scripture presents. But Scripture doesn’t present a fine line. Scripture tells husbands to love their wives and tells wives to submit to their husbands. The passages are not nuanced. They are straightforward. If we cannot be straightforward with them, then we are doing our exegesis wrong.
Beth Cavete@BethCavete

Why is a man saying “no,” to his wife? If we’re discipling a young marriage, and when they hit a snag, instead of pursuing agreement by praying together and discussing the matter til their hearts are unified, he just says, “No,” we are going back to the beginning explaining God’s design for marriage to Him.
