Some services have been cancelled today due to a lack of available trains. Trains are running to all destinations however customers may have to wait longer and trains may be busier than usual. Please leave extra time for your journey. We're sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Due to an issue at East Boldon Level crossing, Network Rail has temporarily suspended the service between Pelaw and South Hylton in both directions. Metro has been informed this should be resolved shortly. Customer will be updated once more information becomes available.

@My_Metro Second time in two weeks had to wait over half hour for train to Sunderland. What are there so many going to Pelaw? It’s an unreliable service. People will stop using it.

We anticipate resumption of services Park Lane and South Hylton first thing tomorrow morning, Friday 13th Jan, following the completion of work by Network Rail rebuilding the electrical substation at Pallion. Thank you for your patience during this period of disruption.
